I thought he was very friendly and explained to me about my procedure.

My first impression of Dr. Barker was he was very good looking. He answered all my questions and didnt rush me. I believe he was honest and I would reccommend him highly. He has a great staff and they really are the ones you deal with most, he has set up a great support team and they are all very kind and personel. I didnt even see him the day of surgery although it all was a blurr. Apparently he removed a hernia also, I really didnt know the difference.

I had a great experience with Dr. Barker. He did an excellent job and I've had no complications at all. The staff at the center are very friendly, and the support resources connected with the clinic are awesome! If I have one complaint, It would be that since he's so busy, they seem to overbook appointments. So every time I have an appointment the office is jam packed, and I usually wait at least an hour or more past my appointment time before I'm seen.

Dr. Barker was wonderful and very knowledgable. His staff was pleasant and courteous. I did not have to do any work in trying to get approve by my insurance company. His people done the leg work and dealt with the insurance company. This helps out when you are working because you cannot be on the phone dealing with the insurance company all day. rnI felt I was in great hands and safe. I would highly recommend Dr. Barker to anyone who is interested in having Bariatric surgery. I would not change my experience with him or his staff.

I had my one year check up this week and WOW!!!!! (ps I SOOO need a new pic for the profile---tons lost since that pic) I have NO regrets! I could not be healthier or happier! Dr. Barker and his staff are Awesome. I love each and everyone of them. I love Dr. Thompson---he is GREAT when it comes to all my crazy questions. It is true that there have been times that I have had to wait to be seen, but I PROMISE that it is WORTH every second put into this. I would wait DAYS, HOURS, MIN, SECONDS to get what I have lived for the past year! I have my life back and I make sure to let anyone that wants to hear my life was saved by FIRST Dr. Barker and SECOND gastric bypass surgery! Michelle Rodriguez

The surgeon was good as far as I know. I only met him once. The office waits can literally be hours upon hours. The staff seemed friendly but too busy to really notice you. One time they called me on my cell phone three hours after my appointment to ask me where I was. I was in the waiting room. I had just asked at the window if I was getting in anytime soon. rnrnOne problem we are having is that I paid all my money in full up front and six months later the anesthesiologist group is saying they have not been paid. It was Dr. Barker's office's responsibility to pay the anesthesiologist. They are saying they did and are not helping us in any way what-so-ever to resolve the issue. I feel that this should be a matter between them and the anesthesiologists, not us.rnrnOverall, I believe he is extremely competent and to a lot of people that can be worth the extra money you pay for him. Because a lot of people trust his abilities, his offices are VERY busy and to others that may be a drawback.

Very busy office, but personal attention during any contact. All my questions were answered and I felt like I was their only client when I was speaking with any of the office staff. All seemed very professional, and the whole experience seemed very well put together and running smoothly. They emphasize aftercare and support groups, must sign a compliance contract with them. Have heard nothing but good things about this office.

Dr. Barker had a wonderful and caring demeanor on my first visit. rnMy impression of my doctor has become stronger. He cares about his patients. rnThe office staff was kind and courteous. Very polite and helpful whenever you call to set up your first visit until....rnFuture patient should know that this doctor and his staff are very professional and well respected by former patients with great praises for the entire staff and physician. rnThe doctor speaks and his staff speaks of the risk related to which every procedure the patient decides in great detail. I am individual who likes to the risk up front so I researched this method to help with weight loss for atleast 2 or more years. rnI am still writing the answers to the some of the questions that are asked. Lol. I will be back soon to inform the public of my care......

Dr. Barker came highly recommended to me by several people in the medical field. I think he is very dedicated to his practice and wants to help everyone achieve weight loss and good health. His staff seems to have the same dedication, and always eager to assist. For future patients realize you may wait long periods of time, but Dr. Barker and Dr. Thompson (Internist/f/up care) take their time with each patient. I think the aftercare is great. If you need help it is there for you, but realize they can't help you if you don't ask questions. I highly recommend Dr. Barker and his staff to anyone! He is an exceptional surgeon!
