Dr Stickler from the beginning was WONDERFUL!! I had a lot of problems with my insurance but you know when someone really cares when they hang in there with you through everything no matter what it takes and everyone would just have to know what I went through with my insurance company. He's the most caring doctor ever. My husband is military so I have been through quiet a few doctors but he's topps in my book. not because he's a bariatric surgeon but because he's just the way he is, all around great! There was nothing I didnt like about him. Staff was good, and there so much that Dr. Stickler wants you to know before you go through with the procedure. He's just once again GREAT!!! I would recommend this Doctor to people in other states anytime because I am out of state myself, I would recommend him to other countries even!!! He explains everything not only once but many times before your actual surgery. On a scale of 1-10 he's an 11!!! Thanks so much to everyone from that office and most of all thanks to my angel doctor, Stickler!! Also my surgery was 4/11/03 and everything is going great so far!!

Dr.Stickler is a wonderful doctor. I am so lucky to live so close to Lifequest. Everyone at Lifequest is cordial professional and very friendly. The support group is also a valuable part of their program. I love this program because they dont leave you hanging..Aftercare is the best! You will always be associated with them and they help you in every stage of your journey. I challenge someone to find a better aftercare program..I doubt it exists. Overall I rate Dr.Stickler and the Lifequest program a 10++++++.

I first met Dr. Stickler when I attened his seminar in Nov of 2002. My first impression of him? "WOW, he is cute!" :-) Actually I was very impressed with Dr. Stickler in so much that he really seemed to know what he was talking about, and he didn't just talk, he listened. In a room full of people (probably between 80-100) he opened up the floor for questions and listened to each and everyone that had something to say. We also got to hear from Tina, his Nurse coordinator, Kate the Dietitian, Dr. Froese, the Psycologist and Jennifer the Physicologist. They all had very valuable information for all of us. They too took questions from the audience. We were given packets with lots and lots of information in them. So I took mine home and went over it there, because I didn't want to miss anything in the seminar.

I have only come to respect Dr. Stickler and his staff more and more with each and every interaction I have had with them. The office staff is well educated in this field and if one doesn't have the answer it is nothing for them to say, "Let me find that out" and they really do call you back if you have to leave a message. They are courteous and considerate of patient confidentiality.

I would tell anyone interested in seeing Dr. Stickler, to call ASAP to get into the seminars and listen to everything he says. He knows his work and everything he tells you, you can count on being accurate.

You basically have to sign a contract that you will commit to first year post-op aftercare program. His facility is called LIFEQUEST...and that is what this surgery is. A life long committment. His aftercare program is very important to him and his patients and the support group is the best in the state. We are the Bariatric Surgery of Southern WV, support group. Dr. Stickler comes to at least one of the support group meetings and we have 2 a month. He also does teaching classes in his office 2 nights a week, either him, or the dietitian, the psychologist, the psysicologist or Tina always have a class on Tues or Thurs. Support group meetings are on Mondays and Fridays sometime in the month. We also have a calander of events for every month.

Dr. Stickler is honest and if he thinks you are a surgical risk or that there could be complications he is always upfront about them.

I love this man dearly and thank him every day for the opportunity to see my kids grow up.

He not only is an expert in what he does, but he has such a wonderful bedside manner.

THANK YOU DR. STICKLER FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

Dr. Stickler was the most upfront honest doctor I have seen. I went to three surgeons Dr. Bolar in Georgetown (his office staff was pretty cold and the psychologist he had was a nut!), I saw Dr. Pak in Russell, KY and he was really nice but he only done open surgery and I really wanted lap! Dr. Stickler had the most caring and generous staff and he is absolutely wonderful! I pulled a muscle a couple weeks after my surgery and it was a Sunday when I was in so much pain I could not sit, stand or anything and Dr. Stickler called me at home and he called the hospital I went to and instructed them on what to do with me. He is an absolutely wonderful wonderful man! He is very straight-forward and upfront about everything! I had my surgery on a Wednesday and got to go home the next day. I am so glad to have had such a great doctor! God bless Dr. Stickler and his caring staff!

Went to very informative seminar. Dr. Stickler and his staff made the presentation. I was very impressed with the amount of information provided at the seminar. Have consult scheduled for Feb. 6, 2003. Dr. Stickler and his staff were just wonderful. I was so nervous that I thought I was going to puke....but they immediately put me at ease. They were very organized and ready to answer all my questions. Dr. Stickler has a very good after care program and a very good success record. This was very encouraging. He also made sure I was aware of all the risk and what was involved after the surgery.
