Daniel Stickler Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

When I first saw Dr. Stickler I thought " OH MY God he's just a kid" but his straight talk and professional ways are very comforting. He makes it very well known just what to expect and what you are going to have to do to get and keep the weight off. He and his staff are very friendly and helpful, they don't mind going that extra mile if you have a problem. Don't try to S him because he'll just look you straight in the eye and go "A huh" then get to the heart of the problem. His after surgical care is grand he has a full staff of dieticians, psychologists, excercise trainers ect.. to help you along but you must take advantage of them and the seminars and support groups. I'm lazy I do it by Internet connections as it is over 75 miles to the seminars. But hey at least I'm going to them.Keep p the great work Dr. Stickler!

My first impression of him was that he was a caring and concerned surgeon. He answered all of my questions completly. My impression of him only gets better with each visit I have with him. He is serious when it comes to my health but is also willing to laugh with me. His office staff is wonderful. They are always willing to answer any questions you may have and always do it without an attitude. There is nothing that I do not like about Dr. Stickler. He took excellent care of me before, during, and now after my surgery. They should know that he is an expert in his field. He is very knowledgeable in WLS. His kindness and compassion does not end when the surgery is finished. He makes sure that each and every one of his patients have the aftercare that they need. He has a wonderfully structured aftercare program. In fact, when I was researching surgeons and their programs he was the only one who had an aftercare program of this magnatude. The dieticians, psychologists, the gym and the amazing instructor who works in it (I say amazing because he makes working out fun and he seems to sympathize with us newbies). The risks of this surgery are not to be taken lightly. Dr. Stickler makes sure that you are well aware of these risks and that you are aware of the lifestyle changes that you will have to make. I wish that every doctor in the world could have the qualities and the expertise that Dr. Stickler possesses. Thank you Dr. Stickler

Dr. Stickler was the best. I liked his bed side manners and my family talked with him later and commented on how comfortable he made them feel. my family just loved him. There isn't anything I can say bad about him. He's very informative and makes you feel very comfortable. I know Dr. Stickler isn't perfect but so far I haven't seen anything to complain about. My experience with him was totally positive.

The first thing that come to mind when I met him was he was so young. But after meeting with him I felt as if I had know him all my life. He was very kind and caring. He explained everything that could and would happen to me when I had this surgery. He never tried to hide anything from me. When I was concerned over anything he made sure he calmed my fears before he left my side. He makes it plain that once you have the surgery that you have to stick with him for life. That following his program is a must. He makes it clear that exercise is part of his program.

He requires you to attend a 3 hour class in which he passing out an information packet. In this information it explains everything about the surgery.

I would rate him an excellant surgeon and would recommend him to anyone. His staff is just great too. They will answer your question and help you all they can.

I liked Dr. Stickler from day one at the seminar. He has a great sense of humor and is very knowlegable. His staff has been very helpful but hard to get in touch with at times. I like the approach he and his staff takes.

I had worked with Dr Stickler when he was doing his surgical residency at Level I Trauma Center. (I was the RN Trauma Clinician in the Emergency Room)...He is always very professional and very easy to work with.....He also has a joking manner that helps put you at ease. His seminar was fantastic and I felt SO motivated when I left there.
His staff has always been very friendly and always willing to help with any request.
Dr Stickler and his staff greatly emphasize education (surgery, nutrition, complications, exercise ).
and as a patient you are questioned to make sure you understand all aspects. He has a very structured program both before and after surgery.

Our hospital just completed a special unit just for Dr Sticklers Bariatric Patients and I have heard it is VERY nice.I can't wait to see it!!! just 4 more days.....!

My husband Steve and I are very impressed with Dr. Stickler. He is very knowledgable, confident, friendly and he seems down to earth. He takes his time with you and offers plently of time for questions. He is straight forward with you about the risks and explains what you don't understand. In my book he is the best.

My first impression of Dr. Stickler was he is very kind. He is so awesome to talk to! I was so nervous and it all went away once we started talking. Read everything you can on Dr. Stickler. His record speaks for itself; however, to talk to the Dr. himself just reinforces all of the good things that you've heard about him.
The staff was so friendly and they reflected the professional, image that Medabolix is a competent facility.
I would HIGHLY recommend anyone searching out WLS to call upon his staff...they're very helpful, knowledgeable and are always willing to stop what they're doing just for you!
