Brian Gluck Bariatric Surgeon D.O., F.A.C.O.S., F.A.S.M.B.S.

Dr. Brian Gluck's program is far better than most i've researched or have heard about. He has everything in place with aftercare, Nutrionist, exercising, support groups etc. He is in the Center of Excellence. He has an attitude of compassion and cares about how his patients are doing. I would recommend him for this surgery to anyone looking for a surgeon, his program covers everything for you. rnrnHis staff is informative and well trained.rnrnI was not so impressed with my stay in the hospital.rnrn

I was very impressed with Dr.Gluck and his office staff. He took the time to answer all my questions and address my fears. his office staff are the best, they are always so friendly and its like they have known you for years. I feel very comfortable when i go there.

I attended my first seminar in September of 2006, given by Dr. Gluck and his staff. This seminar was extremely beneficial in giving me information I needed to know about the surgery, risks, insurance information, what Dr. Gluck expected from me as a patient in doing my part in the weight loss process, an emphasis on surgery being a tool, and testimonials from people who already had the surgery. As I sat and listened to the information being given, I couldn't help looking around the room at the number of people in attendance, and thinking, \"Oh here we go, another chance to be just a number. If there are this many people in attendance tonight, imagine all the surgeries that can be performed and the money the doctor can make.\" rn I was feeling a bit isolated until Dr. Gluck began to speak. He spoke with such passion about his work, but more importantly, he spoke passionately about his patients! It was very obvious that his patients matter to him and are more than just another surgery! He truly cares about what he does and the lives of those he impacts. He made it very clear that our relationship wouldn't end with the surgery, but he wanted a committment from us to continue annual visits. He emphasized that he was giving us the tool for weight loss, but we had to make it work.rn I remember sitting there and thinking, why would he care about me after performing surgery? That too became very clear to me. Dr. Gluck understands the need to have continual support. He approaches everything from a team aspect. Many members of his team have dealt with weight issues in their life and even had surgery, so here are some people who REALLY understand what I am going through and are not looking down on me. But the conclusion I came to was that I was NOT another surgery for Dr. Gluck, but someone that matters. He cares about my quality of life and wants to help make sure that I am successful!rn Dr. Gluck not only emphasizes the aftercare program, but expects that patients will follow through with it. It is very structured and patients are expected to meet with the nutritionist and support group.rn When I was discharged from the hospital I was given Dr. Gluck's phone number and pager number in case I needed him. They were the only numbers I was given, and I couldn't believe it. At first I thought it had to be a mistake, but the nurse told me it wasn't a mistake and if I indeed needed him, to call. I did need to call Dr. Gluck on the Friday after my surgery. He was very reassuring and told me what I needed to do, and if I had any more problems to call him. I didn't have the chance to call Dr. Gluck because on Saturday afternoon HE called to find out how I was doing. Another example of his committment and care for his patients.rn I have friends who have had surgery in other places, and when I tell them about my experience, they are jealous of the personal attention that Dr. Gluck gives his patients. I tell them that it's more than just another surgery for Dr. Gluck. He is committed to helping patients make a difference in their life.rn I have recommended Dr. Gluck to other people who are considering surgery because of his personal attention, his competence and his bedside manner. I continue to tell people that surgery was the best decision I have made in my life and I would do it again in a heartbeat with the support of Dr. Gluck and his staff.rnrnTHANKS TO DR. GLUCK AND HIS STAFF FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE!!!

My first impression of him was very comfortable, He was very easy to talk to. Ifelt like he knew exactly how I was feeling. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Gluck has also had this surgery himself, which I think helps him to understand what people are going through. Aftercare was something he talked about on my first consult, which tells me it is the cement that helps you stick with it and succeed. He was very thurough in explaining the risks. I think he will have a great bedside manner and overall I feel very confident that he will be a great doctor for me.

Dr. Gluck has tons of information that he explains in great detail so that the lay person can understand. He was very informative during the seminar and patient with my numerous questions during my consult. rnrnHis office staff is TOP NOTCH thus far. You know how when your fat and some people (don't ask me how) just don't see you? That is NOT the case with any of the office staff I have worked with thus far. rn

I have only met with Dr. Gluck for a few minutes during the informational seminar, and then during my individual surgery consult, so my impressions are preliminary ones at this point.rnrnDr. Gluck's seminar was very informative and I was very impressed with the mulitdisciplinary team that he has put together. His team consists of the following: himself, a registered dietician, a psychological professional, a nurse coordinator, an exercise coordinator, and support groups.rnrnThe office staff at Dr. Gluck's office have been extremely patient with my repeated intrusions into their work days with my phone calls and emails with questions and requests for additional information. rnrnI am very comfortable with my choice of Dr. Gluck as a surgeon for my RNY, and will post additional information and impressions as we continue together on this journey.

My first impression of Dr. Gluck was already known because of family members that he also did surgery for, and they have had a wonderful experience with him. He seemed very caring and not in a hurry to get on to the next patient.rnDr. Gluck encourages his patients to come to support groups, and I do plan on that.rnI can't wait to see him again, because I have a few more questions.

I knew Dr. Gluck prior to my WLS and had the utmost confidence in his abilities as a surgeon. when I saw him in the office for my initial consultation it was obvious he was also very kind and passionate about helping people lose weight and get healthy. His office staff are all very friendly and helpful and treat all patients with respect. Everyone there wants you to be successful after surgery and will help anyway they can. I had surgery in Dec 2003 and have lost 150 lbs and been able to maintain the weight loss thanks to the great aftercare program. Surgery was the best thing I could have done for myself. Thanks to Dr. Gluck and his wonderful staff I have my life back and its better than I could have ever imagine.

Well I have known Dr. Brian Gluck since he has started his carreer as a DR. I have baby sat for him and worked for him. So making the choice of who was going to do my surgery was a no brainer! He is a hard working and very devoted to his work and patients, and their well being! He has a great after cair program and a great support group. I would recomend him to anyone who is interested in the surgery or would just like to know about it. It really is a life changing operation and i wouldnt of had anyone else do it for me. I was his 5th sleeve patient and he uses me for refrence all the time and i'm happy with that. If i can help others make this descion i'm here to help. If i had to rate Brian and his program overall i would give him a 20, because he has totally thought the whole program threw..and he really cares about his patients and who he is helping. One way to put it: He works from his HEART!!!!!

I had a great first impression of Dr. Gluck and his staff. I attended the seminar along with my husband. I could tell he was very impressed with Dr. Gluck and became even more supportive of my decision after a very informative meeting.rnrnI love the fact that some of the staff are also successful WLS patients.
