When i met Dr. Gluck, i was impressed with him but i was overwhelmed with what he wanted me to do to prove myself to him. But i feel that i was not just a number or someone on a table he genuinely cared for me and what i needed. Although he may be strict that is a good thing because alot dont care and just do it for the money and this was not the case with Dr. Gluck at all. i would recommend him to anyone that feels they need a challenge and can prove to him that you want and or need this done.he did great with my surgery, i was home in 2 days and i saw him weekly for a month. for my after care and then i go back at 3 months. And i feel he is my hero, with out him, i might be another number and not just me. And hisnursing staff is awesome as well.

Dr. Gluck is a wonderful person who really cares about his patients. First impression was made a couple years ago when he performed surgery on my mom(for other reasons), he had a wonderful bedside manner and you could tell that he really cared how she was doing when he did rounds. My impression of him has not changed yet. He is very upfront with his patients about everything that will be involved with this procedure. He is very blunt in describing the risks, which I liked because then I knew for sure what I was getting into. Some people may not be comfortable with his directedness. He stresses the importance of nutrition counceling and excerise as a vital part of the post-op plan. There is an active team of professionals that work their butts off to provide the best care possible for the patients. Everyone I have met so far is wonderful. I can honestly say that there is nothing that I do not like about Dr. Gluck...he has great competence and bedside manner. The only thing that I can say is that if you are considering this surgery (espically with Dr. Gluck) you had better be sure that this is the road you want to take, as of today I have not had my surgery (it's one week away)but I know that it will not be a walk in the park. Extream dedication is necessary and Dr. Gluck will make sure that you have that dedication and that you understand the procedure, risks, and aftercare before he scheduals. Overall- if you are considering the surgery he is one of the best to talk to!!! However,it is up to you in the end on who to choose for a surgen, so take your time and choose wisely.

My first impression of Dr. Gluck was this is the most friendliest Doctor that I have ever met in my life. Dr. Gluck DOES NOT read to you a script of the procedures. You can tell the very first time you speak with Dr. Gluck he cares about his patients. My impression of Dr. Gluck is I admire his mannerism and his knowledge of this surgery my husband and I have total confidence in Dr. Gluck.
Dr. Glucks office staff is FABULOUS. There is NOTHING I did not like about Dr. Gluck or his staff. My consultation was above and beyond all expectations.
Future patients should know that Dr. Gluck is seriously strict about his PreOp and PostOp care and I am sure this is what will be the key to our success in wls.
I would rate Dr. Gluck on a scale of 1 thru 10 a 15 because he goes over and above the expectations of a surgeon.
Dr. Gluck definately address's the risks.
My belief is surgical conpetance is more important than bedside manner but I got lucky finding Dr. Gluck because I have both rolled into 1. :-)
