I am losing weight. I am down 15 lbs and it has not been easy. I am fighting off cravings every minute, but I refuse to give up. I want the Dr. to see I am 100% committed to this process. I am walking more and more and I do feel like I have more energy. Let's hope this is is just the beginning....
Frustrated and worried...

I have my next appt on Jan 20. Last time I was there, he said he wanted to see a more "dramatic" weight loss. I don't know what that means, but I'm worried. I've lost 5 more lbs, but that's nothing. The holidays were hell trying to control myself, but I did it without denying myself some goodies. Yet here I am trying and getting frustrated that it wont be good enough. I am having a hard time kicking my cravings. Exercise is the biggest challenge. I have yet to do anything. I need so badly to get off my ass and start getting active. I wish I was more motivated.
Had my second appt today....

I had my second appointment today with Dr. Goyal. I lost 3 lbs and so far so good. He wants me to lose more weight by the next appt on Jan 20. I wish it was easier. I should get my surgery date then and I need to have all my testing done. After Christmas, I'm going to get my butt in gear. This process is not easy at all. I'm looking forward to the holidays and I'm praying by next Christmas, I'll see a lot less more of me!
Had my appt with the nutritionist today....

My appointment went well. It was mostly to discuss the diet after surgery. What to stay away from and what to eat, such as protein and taking vitamins.
Other than that, nothing monumental. My next appt is Dec. 9 with Dr. Goyal. Hopefully, I'll get a surgery date then. Keeping fingers crossed!!

Jen the dietician from Dr. Goyal office called, everything is ok. She got my approval for the consult and I have an appt next thursday.
I'm trying so hard to lost a few pounds. It's not easy, but I'm trying.
So apparently, I'm not quite completely back on track. GRRR

I asked them to send me letter of coverage, so I have a back up, just in case. I can't help but feel discouraged about this. I know it's not such a big deal, but it's frustrating. I feel like one step ahead, two steps behind. Then I think, what happens if I go through all the testing and then they say, sorry, not enough?
I hope this all falls in line....I can certainly see why people give up.

After receiving some bad news that Dr. Brolin was not in my insurance network, I set out to search for a new doctor. After doing some research and with the help of some wonderful people here, I have chosen Dr. Ajay Goyal.
I had my first appt with him on 11/11 and I was satisfied with his knowledge and experience. Now I need to get my pre-op tests done, and await insurance approval. Let's hope I'm on the right track now.
So excited to start my journey!
