Wow, I have like a million emails. You guys are sooooo wonderful. I'm home, after only five days, not bad. The surgeon told me I was a star. He's kind of a suck-up though. :) Ok, so the first two days SUCK. The worst part was the leak test. Oh that was the worst ten minutes of my life. But hey, what's ten minutes? And from there it all got better. The nurses were pretty good, although they had no idea what to do really. I kept having to tell them to break up my Percocets. And one of them made me take liquid Cherry tylenol. That may not sound that bad, but I hate cherry flavoring so much it was just nasty. I was like, why can't I take the pills, I mean I was doing the percocets? But, I did it and she was happy and went away. I do think the hospitals suffer when they're so short of nurses. The nurses were really sweet to me for the most part, especially the one I had today. Yesterday I drank my protein drink a little too fast and I got this pain right under my left breast. I knew right away, that's from drinking too fast. What a relief to have this information ahead of time, otherwise I would have been freaking. It might take me some time to get back to everyone, but I read my surgery page and I want you all to know that your prayers were heard. I can't believe I'm starting my new life, but I am. Wow. Talk to you all tommorow.

Angel Update...I spoke with Kathryn last night and she sounded wonderful. She finally got out of ICU Friday evening. They were short staffed so they had to keep her in ICU, not because of complications. She passed her leak test, the NG tube was taken out and they will take the final tube out today. She will be going home this afternoon. YEAH! She has been taking her laps around the nurses station....You go girl. She took the binder of yesterday and she said it feels good to have it off. I am so happy for you Kathryn....the worst is over..it's only a matter of time before you are up and running. Please stop by Kathryn's surgery page and drop her a note of congratulations.
