Hi everyone...I have been among the missing in Florida, moved from Arizona (dry heat) to Orlando (wet heat)...I don't know what is worse. To all my oldies but goodies friends, I still think of you as always. To the newbies and faces I don't know, I am post-op from 07/10/01, down 145 lbs and still maintaining. A year ago to two days post my RNY, I too had a hernia repair. Someone stated it happens 1 in 10 and I was the one last year...it was a piece of cake compared to the RNY and of course I was healthier going into surgery. Anyway, I just wanted to say howdie and that I am still around, though smaller hehehe. To all the AMOS brothers and sisters having upcoming surgery, may you have an easy and healthy surgical journey recovery and healing process. I will be thinking of all of you~Peace and Love~~Irene

Irene: Glad to hear you are doing OK and made to Florida in one piece or should I say two households in one caravan. Take care of yourself don't lift too much and get a hernia. Have a good recovery.

Hello to one and all...I am very ashamed of myself for not staying in touch...BUT...you folks have ALWAYS been on my mind and in my heart. I owe so many people e-mail, too many to name, but I do thank LeeAnn for always being there. It is my one year anniversary today and I am so very happy that I have come this far successfully-down 134 lbs and still loosing, though slowly, it is still coming off. I feel great except that I will have a hernia repair done this Friday the 12th by the same surgeon that did the bypass. I have come to this site from time to time and have read mnay postings from the old and newbies on this site. I have been recently on vacation in Florida, and since my bypass, I have re-gained so much of my confidence that has a fluke I applied for a job in Orlando and guess what?/ I got it. So on an impulsive whim, my hubby, my daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and myself are moving in August. So to all the Floridians, I am a coming...I hope everyone is well and wish everyone who have shared their surgery date with me, much love and happiness!!! And to all others my love, prayers, kissess and joy with them on their journey no matter where they are!!~~Love and Peace~~Irene

thanks for the post ,i love the goodwill and shopping for smaller clothes i'm finding a lot more choises. trying notto buy to much though as i don't want a closet of clothes to big so just a few to help the ego and glorify the body...lol

Hello everyone and good evening. It has been a very long time and I do apologize much for not posting. I have been doing a favor for my JOB and was working out of town a lot, but hope to stay in my own city and office for awhile. I don't mind doing the favors, but there is no place like your own home when it is time to go to bed and besides, I did not have access to a computer to get online. Hope all are doing well, pre, post, and waiting for approval. I have really missed you guys and have received some e-mail from my extended family here at AMOS, checking up and making sure I was Okay. I am and very pleased to be able to post here tonight. I have lost 126 lbs and I am about 9 months out. I have about 40 more to go and I do know, I will probably have to have plastic surgery also, so maybe I only have to loose about 30. I will have to have another hernia repair soon. My surgeon said it happens to 10% of us post-ops, thanks for being the 10%. I am not sure when it will be, but perhaps I may be able to get approved for the plastic surgery as well...we will see!! Well...I just wanted to say hello and that I missed everyone, and enjoyed reading messages from the new people and looking at photos of the oldies but goodies!!! Peace and Love to all~~Irene~~

Hi Irene, wow just read your page. So sorry to hear your hubby was so sick. Glad to hear he is feeling better. Your weight loss sounds great. I bet I wouldnt even recognize you! Hope all is well. Take care, Lorie!!
