Wausau Hospital Hospital

The nurses were very nice and understanding, this was the best part.
One whistled all night long, VERY LOUD! I think she should be fired. If I was myself I would have had it out with her, I just managed to slide out of bed to close my door.
I did get a private room. I was very happy about that.
The food was not prepared for an RNY patient (gave regular soda then I asked for diet, that was the first food I ate! Didn't know that wasn't good for my pouch. Also gave me coffee and regular jello, Ensure, you get the picture, much too much sugar)Too much food also. It really is every patient for themselves there. You have to be knowledgeable about what you can and can't do, what you can and can't eat.
I wasn't walked around until the 2nd day, and only once. Most patients everywhere else are walked around right away, I wasn't, although I don't think I would have been able to walk. It was very difficult at first.
The pain management was not good at all. Even though I had the morphine pump, it wasn't enough. Only at the end of my stay did I get a codeine pill, then I got some relief.
Really it was a good experience aside from these complaints. It's just that they should know better for a bariatric patient. I'm glad I did go to this site beforehand to learn about what I was getting into.
