Rodolfo Arreola Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

My first impression was he was very quiet and soft spoken. His staff was great and during my first visit they had me wait while they scheduled all of the tests and it only took a couple of minutes. All the tests were on the same day and when I called with questions they were more then helpful. During the initial visit with the dr. he met with us in a group of 4 and then met with each of us one on one. He has been to the support group meetings and answered questions from people that have not even been to see him (some of which their surgeons were in Pittsburgh). He may be quiet and soft spoken, but he appears to really know what he is talking about. He has already gone through the before and after care and stresses following the after care completly for the best results and health. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would give him a 8.5 so far and if he performs surgery as well as he has on his other patients, it will definitely go to 10.


2-24-04 OK I must give Dr. Arreola and his staff at Hamot Medical Center a 10. Not only does he explain things to you but he is also available at all times. I caught him outside my room at 10 at night just checking to make sure we were alright. He had already visited each of us during the day. He also does only a few surgeries a week so that we can receive immediate attention when needed. I know his staff was there within seconds of me hitting the button. They were always friendly and genuinely seemed to care about us. I recommend them highly.

He is very nice and informative. I am scheduled for surgery Feb 24th. His office staff is very nice too. He has explained aftercare very well. I will have scheduled check-ups often and can call at any time if needed. All the risks of surgery were explained in writing. He is excellent. I don't know about bedside manners yet, since I haven't had the surgery yet. I am 100% satisfied as of now.

Dr. Arreola and his staff have been great so far. They are very helpful with getting everything in order for insurance etc. I had my approval in no time.. I am really impressed with the time he takes with his patients and the diagrams he likes to draw!!

I have the best doctor! I can honestly say I have never in my entire life met a doctor who has such a wonderful personality, great bedside manner is is thoughtful and caring. Gee why aren't all men created like this. If Dr. Arreola was not just a surgeoin I would instantly make him my Primary. I adore him!!!
