Rodolfo Arreola Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

My first impression of Dr Arreola was a good impression. He was very easy going in nature at my first appointment, which helped put me at ease. My impression hasn't changed much over time, I still think he's a great Doctor! His staff has been wonderful and encouraging. I can't think of anything I don't like about this Dr. Aftercare is extremely important to Dr Arreola. Results are not optimized without the proper aftercare. When signing consent forms for my surgery, Dr Arreola carefully went over the risks of the surgery, and made sure I completly understood them. Both bedside manner and surgical competence are equally great with this Doctor. I would highly recommend this Doctor to anyone in the general Erie, PA area!

Dr. Arreola has a wonderful program that informs and helps the person understand and be able to succeed with the surgery. He has a quietness to him that seems to calm and relax those around him. rnrnNever be afraid to get in touch with him or his staff at any time, they are there to help you and are more than willing and able to do so.

My first impressions were correct. I just found out yesterday that my surgery has been approved. I'm still waiting to get the date set but after a year and a half, I can wait another day or two. The office staff is very good. Christy has been a lot of help in the last couple of days. I previously worked with another doctor and had numerous problems with him which resulted in a denial. A coworker referred Dr Arreola and the #1 thing that made me change over to him is this, I called his office to ask a couple of questions of his office staff and he personally got on the phone and answered by questions and gave suggestions on how to proceed. My husband and I met with him and were both very impressed.

Dr Arreola has been great! When I first met him He seemed like he really cared, He made sure all my questions were answered. I had seen a surgeon in Pittsburgh 2 years before and they made me feel like I was just another number. Dr. Arreola's office staff has been terrific, no question left unanswered. Very supportive. Chris is Super, has been there and really understands. Was reffered to support group meetings months prior to surgery and encouraged to continue afterwards. I was in the hospital longer than expected, I had a lot of drainage and my potassium level dropped but Dr. Arreola was there several times a day checking in on me, keeping me informed of my progress. He is a terrific surgeon with a great bedside manner couldn't recommend him more highly!

My first impression of Dr Arreola was that he was a very nice Dr and over time I have come to luv the guy. His office staff is wonderful and when I had problems they scheduled me right in and were wonderful.
Dr Arreola is a very sweet and caring Dr and will sit and answer all of your questions without ever making you feel your wasting his time. He will answer all your questions and stay with you until all your fears disappear. On a scale of 1 to 10 I rate him a thousand plus.

Dr. Arreola is a fantastic surgeon as well as a human being. He is caring and compassionate and will answer any questions you may have.
His office staff is exceptional and undertanding and they return your phone calls and e-mails.
Dr. Arreola has the complete combination of surgical expertise as well as bedside manner.
Anyone should feel confident to contact him regarding their RNY surgery. I know they will be satisfied.

Dr. Arreola is a great person who cares about what he does, and that is gastric bypass surgery. His office staff was so helpful. Especially the ones that had the surgery themselves. Future patients should know that Dr. Arreola and his staff will make you feel comfortable and are willing to talk with you and answer all your questions. They emphasize on aftercare ALOT. Made me confidant in Bariatric surgery.
I went with a friend and the office was very helpful with appointments since we were from out of town.
I went to Hamot with the hopes of having Lap-Band but the Dr. that performs this surgery was not yet accepting my insurance. Aftering meeting with Dr. Arreola I was ready to start my pre-op tests. I will be submitting everything by the end of January and then I will just be waiting on my insurance.

I was very impressed at our first meeting and my confidence only grew over time. He is not only a great doctor, but is complimented by his knowledged, friendly and very patient staff. I can honestly say I found no dislikes about my surgen or his staff. Wait, I take that back, at the beginning there was a nurse that seems to be very short. Almost like she didn't like fat people and was aggrevated dealing with them. But I noticed she didn't remain as a part of the staff very long. He is very caring, patient and kind. He emphasizes after care very much. He gives you guide lines and is very adiment about following them and is very truthfull about consenquences if you don't. I was told of all the risks of surgery and he made sure I understood all the risks. I highly recomend Dr. Arreola and his staff. In fact, there is a doctor in my town that preforms the surgery, but I elected to travel an hour to have Dr. Arreola preform it instead. you need to have both surgical competence and bedside manner. They go hand and hand. Without the bedside manner, you lose confidence in your doctor.
