Daniel Stickler Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr. Stickler and his staff, per my first impression at the seminar, have a strong sense of passion, knowledge and promotes the drive necessary for such a program to work. I am looking forward to getting to know Dr. Stickler and his "team" even more with my future visits.

My first impression of Dr. Stickler was good. I was really impressed about how much dedication he has to his work and the success of his patients. He has a whole program set up. I have heard of other people who just went to a surgeon and did not receive proper education or support. At Dr. Stickler's office it is totally supportive in all ways. You initially meet with the assistance, the Dr., a dietician (who has some really good advice). The office is really great at calling you and keeping you informed. Before my surgery I am going to go in and meet with the staff some more to get prepared. They want to make sure you are ready and fully educated before hand. The office is located across the street from the hospital so I am sure they check on you often during your stay. I feel that I have made the best choice and totally trust Dr. Stickler and his staff.

Haven't met my surgeon yet, but have have received wonderful comments concerning his abilities and especially his care prior to and after surgery. Will post more when I meet him in person.

My first impression of Dr. Stickler was good, he was knowledgeable and soft spoken. My impression has remained the same. Most of his staff are quite efficient and very helpful. At this time I can't say there is anything I don't like about my Dr. Future patients should know he is quite organized and all the staff you will need is available in his office and are quite helpful. He is very careful to emphasize aftercare, including being very precise with what you can eat and when you can eat it. His aftercare is structured so well it even includes an excercise physiologist and access to a gym. This would be my only complaint, I live almost 3 hours from his facility and it would be nearly impossible for me to take advantage of his facilities yet I, and everyone else have to pay a non refundable 275.00 to have a one year membership. The doctor and his staff very clearly address all possible risks of the surgery with an informative seminar patients must attend. Overall I would give Dr. Strickler an excellent rating. I feel both his surgical competence and his bedside manner are both admirable.

Dr. Stickler is really nice. His office staff is great. I would highly recommend anyone in the Charleston, WV area going to him. He keeps tabs on you after surgery and has a great aftercare program. More to come after my surgery.

Dr. Stickler was my idea of the perfect Dr. the first time I ever saw him. He was compassionate, straightforward, attentive to everything I had to say, and very knowledgable. My first impression of him was confirmed each time I've seen him. His office staff is friendly, knowledgable, helpful, and I like every one of them. If you are looking for a surgeon who is knowledgable, compassionate, straightforward,understanding, and honest then Dr. Daniel Stickler is the one for you. His whole emphasis is on aftercare and teaching you how to make the life style changes neccessary after this surgery. Dr. Stickler has a very comprehensive aftercare program. Including a full facility gym in his office. Dr. Stickler answered every question my husband and I had about the risks of the surgery very openly and without hesitation. The scale doesn' go high enough for me to rate Dr. Stickler after all how can you put a rating on someone who saves your life!!!! I thank GOD for him every day. The most important thing is my GOD was in control every second of the time. Dr. Stickler's surgical competence and bedside manner are both above reproach.

1.very competent and caring.his nurse tina is the best, very big on pre op education.
2. he refused to remopve my gallbladder at the same time even though i already had gallstones.i felt it was because of time constraints, not concern for my health.
3.his staff is very nice but they seem to treat patients all the same not realizing individual differences.
4.made me pay $275.00 for a gym membership that i cant use as i live 3 hours away.
5.only board certifies surgeon for laproscopic in the state at this time.
6.REALLY big on aftercare.

of course these are my opinions based on my experience with him.

Dr. Stickler was a great surgeon, very understanding about the problems that you have associated with the weight problems. The office staff is very kind and nice to the patients that come in there office everyday. There was nothing I didnt like about him. If I was to have this surgery again I would only want Dr. Stickler to do it. The aftercare is great they take care of all problems, that you have.

i AM A REGISTERED NURSE IN THE OPERATING ROOM. i HAVE BEEN VERY IMPRESSED WITH DR. STICKLER. i CHOSE DR. STICKLER BECAUSE HE CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY HIS PEERS. i HAVE RESEARCHED HIS PRACTICE AND FEEL VERY CONFIDENT IN MY CHOICE OF SURGEON. i ALSO AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE AFTERCARE PROGRAM THAT LIFEQUEST HAS TO OFFER.hIS OFFICE STAFF HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL. I COULD NOT SAY ONE NEGATIVE THING THUS FAR.

I talked with one of my friends that had the gastric bypass, and D. Stickler was her surgeon, so I had great expectations of him..All of them were met, he is a caring, compasionate person, and very knowledgeable about the RNY.. His staff were wonderful, always answering any questions i had...and I called them several times when I was working on my appeal. My surgeon emphasizes this surgery is "A TOOL" to help you achieve what you setting out to do..I like this..he emphasizes aftercare greatly..he has a gym at his office, and staff to assist you as much as needed. As far as the risks, Dr. Stickler requires that we attend a Education Seminar before he sees you in the office...this was a very informative seminar.
He had a nutritionist, psychologist, nurse, as well as himself to answer any questions you may have...I have all the confidence that I have chose the right surgeon...

Just a little bit of information about Dr. Stickler... he was absolutely wonderful, I could have not asked for a better surgeon or person. He was great!
