My first impression of Dr. Baker was that he is kind person. He has wonderful office staff, very dedicated. I was very well informed of all dangers and side effects of the surgery.

I am 3 week's post op now and doing great. Dr. Baker is extremely wonderful, & so is his staff. I can't think of one thing negative to say about my surgery or Dr. Baker. He was truly great to me..

DR BAKER IS THE BEST! HE IS PRETTY QUIET BUT I BELIEVE HE REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF. HIS STAFF IS VERY KNOWLEGABLE ABOUT EVERY ASPECT OF THE SURGERY AND AFTER CARE. THE PROGRAM IS VERY REGEMENTED BUT I FEEL FOR A VERY GOOD REASON, AS IT DOES CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE. I WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO WORK JUST 2 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY, AND AM STILL DOING WELL AFTER 4+ MOS.I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS EVERY SO OFTEN, BUT NO PROBLEM GETTING ANSWERS FROM THE STAFF. ANYONE CONTIMPLATING THE SURGERY...I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I'M A NEW PERSON.

I've attended the WLS seminar and have met with Diane at Dr. Baker's office. Diane went over my health history, surgery information, etc. She indicated that my insurer requires a psych evaluation.
Currently, I am waiting for Dr. Baker's offer to submit my case to the insurance company for approval.

My impression of Dr. Baker is a good one. I met him briefly in an introductory meeting offered by the hospital that was the first step in this whole process. His session was very informative and streight to the point. I have not had a lot of contact with Dr. Baker as we have only met once, like I said briefly. My main contact has been his nurse clinicians and administrative assistants. They are extremely helpful! I have not found any faults or negitive charasteristics associated with Dr. Baker or his staff. Dr. Baker and his staff are very concerned with the aftercare. They recommend a visit at least every month for the first 6 months and every year there after. They were always sure to stop along the way and make sure I was comfortable with the content of the information and wanted to make sure I was truely informed about this life long change. Dr. Baker's office and the hopsital have an aftercare program that consists of follow up visits as mentioned above and also a support group program called Images. Dr. Bakers nurse clinicians, Janet Rudlong and Dianne Gladhill were very imformative. They let me know several times in advance that there are risks associated with the surgery, but assured me that these surgeries are done several times a week with very trained, skilled and experienced surgeons. I would rate Dr. Baker and his staff about a 8-9 on a scale of 1-10. 10 being the best and 1 being the worst. The reason I rate them that way (and not a ten) is because their criteria for scheduling surgery is a strict one. They make it imperative that you loose 10% of your body weight before they will even call you for the pre-op consultation. Last but not least. The bedside manner and the surgical competence are being weighed. Personally, I really want a surgeon to know his stuff. I don't want to be operated on by a Dr. that brings you roses after surgery only to say he was sorry but he left the scalpel inside. I want someone who is confident, experienced and accredited. Dr. Baker seems like he fits the bill most definately.

Dr. Baker and I have not yet met, although I have met with his office staff and nurses. He seems to be a gentle and compassionate person who genuinely cares about helping me change my life and be successful with surgery.

My doctor semed very personable and was very forthcoming about the procedure. His nurses answered any question i had and seemed to have a working knowleds of the procedure and events leading up to and
post op as well.
The nurse that i saw at weigh-in was a post surgical person herself 2 yrs post op in fact. She looked great.
I have had 3 friends who have had surgery through his office. All 3 friends have had a succesful result.
He has a highly structured program with each step leading to the next.
As a nurse I would highly recommend his program.

Dr Baker is a wonderful man!! He is so caring and thoughtful. He knows what he is talking about and is willing to help anyone. He answered all my questions and was very professional. I have met all his nurses. Diane was my nurse for my first consultation. Marsha took care of all my insurance info and I spoke with Janet a few times. Lisa was who I saw to weight in and get a surgery date. She also had the surgery so she knew where I was comming from. I am so glad that I am going with Baker and his nurses for this surgery
