Wow, now I know why I decided to go to Mexico, it's hard trying to take care of 7 kids and recuperate from surgery. Especially my 3 year old, she is a tiny little thing, but wow, a spoiled handful and a half!!! LOL

Thank goodness most the kids are back in school today because I'm exhausted. Trying to decide if I have enough energy to go get my nails filled. I haven't had it done since before I left for surgery. But what I really want to do is to go back to bed.

I woke up really sore today and am still having a lot of difficulty extending my left arm. Last night I took the garment off and worked on  it for a few minutes. The right arm is pretty good, not sure why the left arm is still causing so much discomfort.

There was a stich left in my boobie and I made my hubby take it out. He was so nervous he was scared he was going to scar me for life, LOL.  I was like, do not make me go to the Dr. for one little stich!!! lol

so I go home tomorow, wed, YAY, but would you believe that since I've been back at the hotel there have only been 2 days nice enough for me to sit out by the pool! It's been gloomy and rainy, last night there was even some lightning. I know I'm not on vacation but it would have been nice to see some sun rays, especially since I get plenty of rain at home!

Went to get my teeth whitened tonight, Dr. Ramirez is the neatest guy,He picked me up at the hotel an then brought me back when we were  done. He offered to take me to the mall if I wanted.  He is a professer at the college here, has a practice, and lectures, and makes time to chauffer Dr. S patients, I felt really special!!!!

I had never had my teeth professionally whitened before. I have sensitive teeth and have been using the senstive toothpaste, but that did not save me from the sensitivity wrath of my gums, OMG it burned! it felt like I had flossed super hard between every one of my gums and that I just kept doing it! 

They do look pretty though!  No pain no gain has been my recent motto!

I hope I don't blow up too much on the scale, I've been eating yummy food since I've been here!

I have been feeling better and better everyday. I am absolutely amazed by it because I just had major surgery a week ago.

Patty helps me in the mornings and she says the healing looks very good, what she does see "is normal".She's very sweet.

Today I went to the mall and saw a movie in theVIP section, they had cozy leather chairs and people taking your orders for food. I've never seen anything like it!

I made it around the mall really well, but just a little bit ago started paying for it when my lower back started killing me.  My hands are starting to look like my own again! yay

Hopefully I sleep well tonight I usually wake up all night long.

Overall this has been a a really good experience and being here in Monterrey has really given me the chance to rest and recuperate.

BUT     I miss my husband and my kids. I want to go home!  3 more nights

I had my surgery on Saturday and have been back at the hotel for a couple days now. It's so peaceful and quiet here, especially considering that I came by myself.   Today I just opened the window and let the warm breeze in and fell asleep to the sounds of the wind, and a few sounds of cars, but by no means is anyone loud like at home!

I'm not really lonely or homesick, I think that the hardest thing right now is that my 17 year old is really struggling with not having mom home and that is hard for me. I am the one that runs the show at home so I can imagine that it's a bit chaotic and not the same without me. I really had no idea she would have such a hard time!

I'm still sore, that lipo does a number on you, BUT, I'm glad I did it, I'm going to look so great, I can already tell.

It will be nice to be comfortable with my body! I believe that I will be. I didn't get any thigh work done and I'm not sure I want to. I want to be at peace with my body and appearance.

The people here are very nice. The manager at McDonalds spotted me as soon as I came in and pointed to the line he wanted me to get in and made sure I got my fishburger, LOL- oh yeah I forgot, I have been soooo hungry!   It's nice that the restraunt has a really nice breakfast and I am about to go head out for their happy hour and get some more food! 

Today I read a little and slept, and took a walk ove to the HEB, I needed more tape or we'll run out tomorrow when Patty is changing my garments!    it's a really odd feeling, that of not hardly doing anything, almost makes me feel guilty, but not enough to wish I was home. this really is the best way to recuperate. If I was at home the kids would be mommy mommmy mommy and I would have a really hard time getting the rest that my body needs right now.

So I flew down Friday. Got to the seatac airport at 5:30 am and just knew since it was so early that I was going to walk right up to the counter,  but NOOO, there was a line, waiting to get in line! and hour and 15 minutes later I was scrambling to get through security, but I made it to the gate in time! My next flight was delayed too, but that worked well for me. It took literally 20 minutes to get from where I got off the plane to the next gate! I had time to get a little lunch and eat without rushing.

Met a man at the airport from Mexico, he said that he heard of people coming to Mexico for their surgery, but hadn't met one before!

Friday night did my markings as expected. It was kinda awkward, but of course necessary.  I told Dr. S I probably would have had alot more questions but so much was answered on the message boards. He thought that was a good thing. helps him I'm sure!

I went to mcdonalds after the markings and tried to order a fish sandwich but got chicken instead. I knew I should have paid better attention in spanish class, lol!

Saturday am, Dr. S picked me up, and before I knew it I was naked and being scubbed down with iodine. At least it was warm!

Next thing I remember is waking up, Dr. S handing me his cell phone so I could call my husband. I was feeling great Saturday night!

Some time in the middle of the night the epidural wore off and the swelling kicked in, I've been pretty miserable since then, not unbearable, plus it's too be expected, I just had major surgery.

oh- btw I had a large tummy tuck, breast aug/lift, arm lift, and lipo on my backside.  He said he took about 4 lbs of skin from my tummy and a GALLLON of lipo, Oh my!  

I think what hurts the most is my backside, from the lipo, but again, I was expecting that.

I have a catheter, 4 drains. and IV

Nurse Patty is wonderful as expected! The other nurses speak little english but they are very kind as well.

Didn't have a shower yesterday, but I had one today and boy oh boy do I feel better, BUT it was quite the adventure taking the bandages off and then getting the clean garment on my swollen body!

Yeah, now that I've finished my shower the catheter and the IV are gone, woooo hoooo

Dr. S came in and was pleased with my surgery, I told him I love my little arms, the tummy is hard to tell yet with the swelling. he pointed out that he had to cut differently than he normally does because I had so much above the belly button and that his partner was suprised too. Well I always knew I was unique!

The food has been good. I haven't had any complaints about it being cold. It is way too much though and I don't have much appetite, I get full off a couple bites, but I sure do feel pampered! And to think the clinic back home was going to send me home to fend for myself day one!  being away from the family is hard, but the care is fantastic.

Dr. S says that I should be able to go to the hotel tomorrow, YAY! the bed there is 10x more comfortable!  Plus you cant get hardly any sleep here. I'm one of those people that has trouble sleeping anywhere besides my own bed.  He looked at my funny and asked about the towel wrapped around my hair.  I ran out of energy to comb it out and it's a big rats nest right now. I will tackle it later after I try to take  nap

I have been medicated, but I am thankful that I brought my own little stash of pain killers, because I'm a big baby so it sure helps!! LOL

well I'm looking forward to going to the hotel and feeling good enough to go to the HEB. I've heard so much about it I have to see  it!

I scheduled my cosmetic surgery for the end of February and have been exercising more and drinking tons of protein to make sure that I get to my goal of having lost 100 lbs by surgery, well I am just about there, maybe 1 more pound, so I'm hoping to be able to be in the Century club very very soon! I'm very excited,

I have dreamed of getting a tummy tuck ever since before I had weight loss surgery. I thought if I ever get below a certain amount then I will allow myself to do it. Well I'm under that amount and have decided to go have my procedure with Dr. S in Monterrey. Not only will I get the tummy tuck but a little breast enhancement and arm work as well! I'm going to be a brand new woman! I'm very excited and nervous all at the same time. Surgery is scheduled for 2/27/10 so the countdown is on!

So, I posted a new avatar picture and I think I'm pretty! I didn't used to think I was pretty, so I think that is a pretty significant accomplishment!!! It's kind of fuzzy, but oh well, LOL 

I still have not been able to lose enough weight to say I've lost 100 pounds.. Close, but I just cant' seem to get there. I get to within 2 pounds of it and then gain a pound back. I need some helpful tips
