<b>~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~</b>

Hello Grady - <b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you have got to be a basket of emotions. The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Sure, there can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. You'll be in the thoughts and prayers of many for a successful and uneventful surgery. : ) <i>"NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!!" </i> .....Hugs and Smiles

Hi, Grady! I just want to wish you the best of luck on your upcoming surgery; from what I hear, having your gallbladder out is more painful than this surgery. Keep a positive attitude; it will take you farther than anything else. Also remember to walk ASAP, as soon as they will let you, especially after you eat and drink, as it helps relieve the gas pains. It also helps you feel like you're in control, and last but CERTAINLY not least, will aid in preventing blood clots and pneumonia. I will keep you in my prayers and look forward to seeing your updates. I have relatives in Jasper (I'm in Indianapolis) and I would really love to have a get-together for WLS patients down there one of these days! Maybe we'll get to meet soon! Good luck, and God Bless! Know that He'll be by your side the whole time. Take care! Proximal Lap RNY 08/19/03, -20 lbs.

I just wanted to say Thanks to everyone that has either E-Mailed me or posted a message here on my profile. I have around 79 hours to go as I write this. I am starting to drink my clear liquids so I can get my system cleaned out. I DON'T want ANY problems! I am not taking any chances going in to this. I have been told by someone that has been through this already, and a RN to boot, that the best thing is to start your clear liquids 48-72 hours before the surgery for best results. I am also loading up on my protiens as well. I had my Pre-Admit testing done today, I weighed 525.6lbs. That's up 4.5lbs from when I had my Gall Bladder Surgery on March 31, 2003. The doctor said he wanted me to try to loose a few pounds, LOL, Oh Well! I pray that I will be giveing everyone updates on my health soon, I will be staying at my Mom's house for at least a week after I get out of the hospital. I will be in touch with Carol to update my page every couple of days at least. See YA'LL on the other side! ~Grady~
