Hi Gary, Just read your post and want you to know I will keep you in my prayers. I know about knee pain and back pain and the agony and fear of where we will be in another 5 years. Please trust God to take care of everything. I'm concerned about you and will definitely be praying for you. Jan

Hi everyone. I'm not Gary's official angel, but his surgery is just a week from Monday and he needs our support. Let's get on over to his surgery page and send him off to surgery with all the support we can give him.

Gary, Me too! Me too! I'm having my surgery in May and I'll be 55 in June. It's only too late if you die while you're still MO because you didn't have the surgery. All the best to you as your surgery date draws near. I'll be thinking of you as you make the transition to a new and healthier life.

Good luck with your upcoming surgery. You will be amazed at how much better you feel once the weight starts coming off.

Gary when you know this is right for you in your heart you will do it. You have to know it's the right thing for you to do if you want to live a good life. Not life passing you by. I had it done on 2/25/02 and at my one month weight in lost 49 pounds. I was so full of fluid I couldn't move. Now I run instead of walking it feels like. I can move without it hurting. I to have a bad back, knees and they are better already. Start keeping a journal of my you want this surgery and you can look back on it and read it everyday to give to the strength to go on.

Gary, Best of wishes to you as you make this incrediable journey. I weighed 400 lbs the week before surgery. Now, 18 weeks later I am down to 242. I had forgotten how many things my weight would not allow me to enjoy and how many pains and aches it gave me. As soon as you heal you will be so glad that you finally took a postive step and did something for yourself. I wish you all the best. KimmieTN
