Week 23.. small plateau (although I think it's really just PMS with the bloating and water retention) I weighed in the same today as last week even though 2 days ago I would have lost 2 lbs. I did manage to lose 1.25 inches though for a total of 94 inches. My ketosis stick this morning was back to "moderate" so I'm happy about that as well. (I had gone down to "trace" for the last few weeks) I anticipate good things for next week. Btw... I tried Bikram yoga this week... the one where you do the yoga in a 110 degree room. HOLY COW ladies!!! That is some workout. My quads are torn up! It was kinda fun though, I think I'll go back. I also had an appt with my new surgeon (my 1st surgeon's partner since my 1st surgeon moved to Boston) He said that I shouldn't expect to have any plastic surgery anytime this year. He said that he expected me to lose another 70 lbs which would put me at 121 lbs.... I'm 5'5". I don't think I'm gonna weigh that. I've NEVER weighed that in my adult life. That just seems awfully skinny to me. I was thinking I'd be happy with 140-145. Anyone have any thoughts?

Week 22... I lost .5 lb and 1 inch this week for a total of 63 lbs since surgery, 100 lbs from my highest weight,and 92.75 inches. After the gangbuster week I had last week, I'm not surprised that I had a slower week this week. I had some banner moments this week... I was in a discount store (you know the ones that have seconds and slightly damaged stuff) and I'm sure you all know how the sizes are usually less than generous at those places. I walked in, found a pair of regular size 14s, and thought.. what the hell... I'll try them on. THEY FIT! They were a little snug, but I refuse to buy anything that fits perfectly since in no time it'll be too big. I have another follow up with the doc today. I'm hoping he'll agree with another doctor of mine that I have about another 30# to go and then I can start the plastic surgery process. I'll let y'all know! Have a great week!

Week 21... I'm down 2 lbs this week and 4.75 inches!!! for a total of 62.5 lbs and 91.75 inches. I'm almost to the 180s and I'm very excited about that. I wasn't every consistent with anything this week. Maybe it as the jolt that my body needed to let go of some weight and inches. I'm wearing a regular size 16 or a XL. There is SUCH a big difference between women's sizes and regular sizes. i went from a 12w to a 16. Anyway... I'm glad to be in a regular size. I can't wait until I'm in a 14 for the first time in over 10 years. But the greatest will be when I get in a 10.. I've never been a 10. I can't wait! Good luck to everyone and keep on being losers!

Hi Ali, I heard that ginseng really helps with the ketosis breath. I'm still pre-op for 4 more weeks, so I don't know if it does--let me know, okay? Take care! Suzi

Week 20... I'M SO BLOATED!!! I managed to lose 1 pound this week, and 1 inch for a total of 60.5# and 87 inches. I am floored that I lost any inches b/c I feel like a giant balloon. I attended my power yoga class and added a step class this week. I'm happy with my little classes. They really are fun, and since other people are involved, I'm more likely to "keep the appointment" so to speak. I could always find other "more important" things to do when I was just working out here at home. I'm still consistenty in the small to medium ketosis zone. I'm really glad that I'm still in ketosis, but I'm looking forward to the day that I can talk to someone and not wonder if I'm about to knock them over with my horrible breath. Has anyone found a solution to the ketosis breath?

Week 19. I lost 3 pounds this week! and 2.5 inches for a total of 59.5# and 86 inches! Adding that 2nd protein shake really worked! I also starting taking coral calcium. I've noticed that I'm sleeping better. I'm not sure what to attribute that to. I went to my yoga class and MAN that stuff is tough. I think I'll make that a regular thing. I also thinking about taking kick boxing. Classes just seem a lot more fun than running on my treadmill. Well I hope everyone of you are losers this week! Have a good one!

Week 18. I GAINED a pound!! I'm having a difficult time with that fact. I did lose 2.5 inches this week though. Overall I had a rough wls week. I had to cut alot of my hair off b/c it was so damaged. I'm not a big fan of short hair on me... and now my hair is short. I started working out in the morning before work yesterday because I just couldn't consistently get exercise in the evenings. My goal is to exercise at least 3 days during the week, and then again on the weekends. I'm trying yoga tomorrow. If I like that then I'll add that in on Wednesdays. I still need to work on getting more water in. Can I count my protein shake as water intake? I think I need to add another protein shake in the evenings. I GAINED A POUND!!! What is that about???? HELP!!!!

Week 17.. I lost 3 lbs this week and 1.75 inches for a total of 57.5 lbs and 81 inches. I did work out 3 times this week, and I credit the extra pound lost this week to that fact. I'm keeping my exercise goal for this week at 3 days. I'll increase it later. Right now I need to focus on getting more water in. I've really fallen back off on that lately. My goal for this week is to get in 32 oz every day. Right now I don't think I'm even getting in 16 oz. So that'll be a step in the right direction. I started using Fibercon in my protein shakes, and things are becoming more regular and things are a little less traumatic than before.. but not much. I'm also considering adding another protein shake in the evening. Maybe with my meds. I could add more fiber then. I hope everyone had a great week, and best of luck in the next one!

Week 16 - 199.5!!!!! I'm under 200!! Lost 2 lbs this week and 3.25 inches for a total of 54.5# and 79.25 inches. I'm very happy to be under 200 lbs. but one thing is evident to me... I have got to start working out on a regular basis. I'm slacking in that area... BIG TIME. I have a treadmill and weights here at the house, and I have a gym membership, so I really have no excuse. I just flat out don't want to. But, then again, I don't want to drink my protein shake in the mornings, and I do that. So I'll just have to suck it up and do it. Ok.. new goal... workout 3 times this week. At least 30 minutes on the treadmill, and some light weight work. Hope everyone has a great week.
