Week 43.. Well good news, I am still in the 170's so hopefully I've permanently shaken off the 180s. I'm having a horrible cycle this week... although when you have a period for a month, should it really be called a cycle? :) I'm all bloated and actually gained 1.75 inches and it's all in my waist, abdomen, and hips. I'm sure it'll be gone by next week. I've gotten my running a mile down to 13:35 which I'm very proud of because before I wasn't able to complete one under 15:00. I'm doing much better about exercising and starting to enjoy it.

Week 42... Well, here's the deal... I hopped on the scale yesterday after confirming that I was in ketosis and was fully expecting a loss for the week. Well... NO LOSS... infact I GAINED a half pound. So I hired a personal trainer and worked out with him for the first time last night. I got on the scale this morning and BOOM... there's the loss I was expecting 179.5 so I'm going with that number because I WANT TO!! So that's a loss of .5 for the week and 0 inches. Hopefully I'll have more to report next week. BTW... I have a consultation with a plastic surgeon recommended to me by my psychologist on August 8th. I'm excited.

Week 41... Lost .5 pound this week, but 2 inches. I'm sitting right there on the 180 mark again. I'll be anxious to see if I can break that mark next week. I haven't worked out since Wednesday of last week b/c my air conditioning went out. I have it back now, and as soon as all the workers leave my house I'm gonna be all over it. Call me crazy but I don't like walking around in close to nothing in front of a bunch of men I don't know. I guess it would be the same at a gym, but something about it is a little creepy. I'm having my roof replaced and my garage door replaced. Add that to the air conditioner I just had replaced, and my place is almost new again! :) Ah, the joys of home ownership!

Week 40... Lost 1 pound this week but didn't lose any inches this week. I ran 4x last week, and am doing a lot better on water. I'm still throwing up a lot, so I'm trying to eat a lot less. Hopefully I'll get to the elusive 170's soon.

Week 39. I've lost 1 of the pounds that I put on last week. I also lost 1.5 inches this week. I met with my surgeon last week and SURPRISE... he said I'm not exercising enough. I also think I'm grazing too much. He suggested that I remove all caloric liquids from my diet. The protein shake will not be difficult to remove, but the alcohol will be. I've exercised 3 of the last 4 days since I met with him. That's pretty good. My goal is to exercise 5 days a week. Hopefully I'll see the scale move if I do that. According to body fat percentage charts, I need to lose another 4.5 inches in my hips, and 5.75 in my waist to have the right body fat percentage. I'm gonna give it a shot.

Week 38. I don't freakin understand my body! I gained 2.5# this week after having been down to my coveted 179 late last week. In addition to that I lost 1.5 inches, so I REALLY don't understand. I started drinking a protein shake in the morning again, increased my water, watched the sugar intake, and actually exercised... and this is the result... that's encouraging. I'm all crampy and irritable, but it's 2 weeks from when I'm supposed to have my period. I have had so many problems with my cycle since the surgery. I'm thinking of switching to the birth control patch b/c I think that I'm not getting all that the pill has to give me b/c of the bypassed intestines. Maybe that will help me be more even keel on weight fluctuations, and emotions as well.

Week 37. I lost .5 lb this week for a total of 74 lbs. I also lost 2.25 inches this week. I think if I'd quit eating so much salt I'd lose a couple of pounds.. but who knows. I've gotta run!

Week 36... Lost 1 pound this week despite starting my cycle!! So I'm expecting more next week! I also lost .75 inch as well. So that brings me to a total of 73.5 pounds and 109 inches since October 1st! I have done much better with my water the last few days. I've also exercised twice this week on the treadmill and played water volleyball a couple of times. I need to remember what works and just do it!! My goal this week is to exercise at least 3x and to drink at least 48 oz of water a day. (I'll try to increase it more later)

Week 35.. I lost the 1/2 lb that I gained last week. So you can say that the plateau is still in effect. However, I did lose 1.5" this week... and off of the waist, belly, hips, and thighs. So I'm rather please with that. I have something else very excited to report. I bought a size 12 pair of capris!! I didn't officially exercise this past week, although I did swim quite a bit. I think I need to change the way I think about exercise. I seem to only think that it's exercise if I don't like doing it. Although, let's face it... does anyone think that playing water volleyball with friends is exercise. If anyone's out there... what do you think? If that counts then, I did exercise a couple of times last week. I'd still like to get back to training for the 5k that I'd like to RUN in September. I think that it would be a great accomplishment for me if I was able to run that far. I need to work on my water intake more as well. Hope everyone has a great week!

Week 34... Well i said I was surprised I didn't gain last week... well i came through this week with that gain, but it was only a half pound. I weighed in at 182 this week with a half inch loss. I have been eating horribly, and I haven't been exercising other than walking my puppy. It seems that I end up with an activity every night and just can't seem to work it in. I know, I know, I need to make it a priority. But it's just not as much fun to run on a treadmill than it is to eat nachos and drink margaritas with friends. I've also got bad about water again. I'm going to focus on the water this week and getting on my treadmill at home at least on the weekend. I'll work on more next week.
