Hi Mary, First I'd like to praise God for giving you the peace that can only come from our precious Lord!!I too feel this is a gift from God,And that it does not reflect our weakness in foods.I've tried for over 28 yrs to lose weight and i have lost alot of weight in the past, but only to gain it back and then some. The Doctors told me it was better to remain fat, then to yo yo like I was doing.my surgery is in june and i can hardly wait.I'll keep you in my prayers, and I ask God to see you through this with no complications and a speedy recovery!!God bless you,Love in Christ,Lora

Hi Mary, You and I have some things in common. We are approximately the same age and we both love the Lord with all our heart. I am seven months post-op, so I've gone through what you're about to. I will be praying for you and keeping an eye on your progress. Praise God that He has blessed you with this opportunity. I have always viewed this as His gift to me because God knows how I have struggled and beat myself up over my weight issues. For the first time in my adult life, I feel clean before my Lord because I don't feel like a complete failure and there is absolutely no guilt or shame because of what I perceived as my lack of self-control over food. I welcome you to this freedom in Christ as you cross over to the "lighter side." God bless you, Brenda
