Dr Barker is a cutie & extremely nice! That was my first impression. He is very professional & REAL (which is so important to me). He & his office have been helpful through everything & willing to help me in any way possible. I had to have an initial appointment & once I was \"approved\" they set me up for my 2nd consult right away where he explained things more in depth & allowed me to ask questions. I also had an internal medicine doc come in to talk to me at that time as well. Then after that, they set me up for my life-changing operation. I am looking forward to my whole surgery and I trust Dr. Barker completely. Overall, so far, I am VERY happy with him & his staff.rnrnBedside manner: there wasn't any! I never saw Dr. Barker after my surgery at all. I think he should have made an appearance to see how I was doing, but instead some doc I had never seen nor ever seen again checked on me. Dr. Barker's job on the stapling of my incisions was wonderful! I think I will have little to no scars left. I just wish that he had shown his care by checking back with me, but I guess he is too busy???

My surgeon is Dr. Wade Barker in Dallas, TX. I knew as soon as I walked in his office that I had chosen the right doctor. I heard about Dr. Barker through Carli w/Nova Body Solutions. Carli and I became really good friends almost instantly, so when she told me about Dr. Barker I knew I could trust her opinion. She said that if she could do her surgery over again she would pick him. That really makes a girl feel good! Dr. Barker is one of the most personable doctors I have ever been too. He is very easy to talk to and joke around with. Earlene is his nurse...OMG! I can not say enough good about this girl! I love her to death! She has been so awesome through the last few months. Easing my mind and worries. She has always been there when I have questions...she is really good at calling people back! rnrnDr. Barker is extremely thorough. He is doing tests on me that I would have never thought that I would need to do. He makes sure that your heart, lungs and stomach are healthy before he goes in. I remember in my 2nd consult with him, he showed me a long list of things that could potentially happen. He said that his #1 job it to make sure that none of those things happen. He is very adiment on what I need to do before and after surgery. I love that about him. rnrnDr. Barker is the best!!! He has a perfect mixture of surgical competence and bedside manner

My first impression of Dr. Wade Barker was that he was very professional and I felt he knew what he was doing. He was very atomate about the pre-surgery procedures and did address the all the risks of the surgery. Which, was to my benefit . His office staff is excellent and made me feel important. I felt confident that Dr. Barker is outstanding in his field and I would definetly recommend him to someone seeking bariatric surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Barker was, he is CUTE! and so young looking! Then when he start talking I felt so comfortable. He was very knowlegeable. He answered all my questions and helped me decide which surgery was right for me. The office staff is a dream, they are all so nice especially, Earline and Simone. Dr. Barker has wonderful bedside manner, he checked on me after my surgery and that made me feel good. I did not get to see him when i went in to have my staples removed but Earline took great care of me!

dr barker was great. everyone in his office was polite and helpful and supportive. dr barker himself was also very supportive. he talked to me realisticlly like he knew and card about me-not like I was just another insurance approval. i really appreciate his bedside manner and finite description of the pre and post op diet and the detail of the lap band surgery. I don't have anything negative to say abt the doc or hiis office or surgery center staff

My first impression of Dr. Barker was that he is a very busy man, who was not big on talking. If you didn't ask, he probably wasn't going to tell you. I decided on Dr. Barker because I liked the fact he was a younger doctor with a growing practice and his reputation for being a good surgeon. rnHis office staff is absolutely wonderful and I can't say enough wonderful things about them. They are friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring. If I called and had a question it was always answered before I was off the phone. When I was told I would be called back, I was.rnI am now post-op and would say my opionon of Dr. Barker has pretty much stayed the same. He is more personalable then I realized at the beginning of my journey. Dr. Barker performs surgeries at several different hospitals and in my opionon makes talking with other patients a bit confusing. Not all patients see the same nutritionalist and have the same aftercare program. I feel the enormous growth of Dr. Barker's practice also leaves some gaps in commuincation between each patient. rnDr. Barker's office doesn't stress aftercare unless you ask. rnMy surgery was performed on Monday at Doctor's Hospital, where his office is also located. He did tell me he would not be visiting me in the hospital the following day, however, I would make a trip to his office before being discharged from the hospital. This sounded fine before surgery, but after the medications wore off and the pain hit, it would have been nice to see him if for nothing more than support just to let me know everything was alright. Instead another doctor came by to check on me. I didn't feel comfortable mainly because I had not met him before and he did not know me. rnOverall, I would recommend Dr. Barker, and I have. I feel in time the little glitches in the system will be worked out.rnI did not have any complications with surgery and am doing well, just a week post-op. Dr. Barker is a talented surgeon with a wonderful office staff.

Good looking, calm and confident. Very sensitive to my needs. Office staff cheerful, professional and very accommodating. Busy office sometimes requiring a wait. Future patients will absolutely adore Dr. Barker. Aftercare is a vital program for success and he personally attends one meeting each month. The structured program lies with Nova Body Solution within Vista Hospital. Risk factors are not only addressed within Dr. Barker's office but are also emphasized in the Nova Body Solutions program. Dr. Barker is highly qualified in his surgical competence and in addition possesses a natural charm. My experience was exciting and I feel great!!!!

I started out with a different surgeon and changed to Dr. Barker when I became uncomforable with my first choice. Talk about a world of difference! Dr. Barker and his staff are so professional and totally on the ball. They return phone calls immediately and often answer my questions before I ask them. I will update my opinion after surgery, but so far I am definately happy with this decision!!

Dr. Barkers staff was super nice and his office is set up to accomodate larger people which was nice. Dr. Barker is very quiet but willing to answer all of your questions but he doesn't tell you more than you need to know.rnrnMy suggestion to future patients of his would be to go into his office prepared with a list of all the questions you have for him to answer. Also call your insurance provider ahead of time and get a list from them of everything they will require the surgeon to send them to be considered for surgery. Gather all this information ahead of time so when you meet with Dr. Barkers insurance staff they will be able to submit the letter the following day.rnrnSo far I have been happy with Dr. Barker and his staff. The only thing I think they need help with is providing more information about what to expect post op, what weight to expect to achieve and help with food ideas for each phase of the post op.
