Surgeons are a unique breed! Since I work in the healthcare area, I am aware of their routine. Dr. Weber is a very professional surgeon. He is very frank with his requirements of you as a patient, when it comes to exercise. He was very thorough about your health history and potential complications.

I have found Dr. Weber to be nothing but supportive in how he treats his patients. He is very open and more then willing to share has opinion with you. My surgery went off without a hitch and I have only experienced mild disconfort since then.

I was impressed with Dr. Weber at the group orientation I attended. He covered the material completely. Answered many many questions and seemed happy to do so. He has a sense of humor which I appreciate too. I look forward to meeting him for a one-on-one consultation in February after all my tests have been completed. Ater Consult -- Dr. Weber is soo nice. He took his time with my consult appointment, he made sure he answered all my questions on my list, even those questions which I decided I would not waste his time on. He said I'd would be a good candidate for either surgery - RNY or VBG - and the decision would be mine. He was pleased to see my documentation - a food log and exercise log which had nearly two months of data at the time of my consult. He is a very kind man and is genuinely concerned and caring.

I have been to Dr. Weber's seminar back in January 2003. It was very informative, answered some questions that I had. My first impression of him was he's wonderful. He and his staff were very friendly and helpful. I have my first consult appointment on April 3. Keeping my fingers crossed. He is a stickler on diet and exercise. And with good reason, he wants you to start changing your life before surgery, so the new habits are already in place and will help making your weightloss that much easier. He seems to be a surgeon that truly cares for his patients and wants them to suceed.

Dr. Weber seems very serious and professional, but has a sense of humor as well. I was very impressed with his entire program. It is quite a bit more involved than other local surgeons I researched, which can be a pain, but I personally like it because I think I can use the support and guidance.

His office staff repeatedly told me that Dr. Weber does not know anything about the day to day operations and scheduling and not to take anything he said about a surgery date time frame to heart. They were right. Still, I got a date rather quickly once all the paperwork was completed by the office staff. Lisa is WONDERFUL to deal with.

very direct & informative
I have only attended the In service
Staff seems friendly. Although I haven't had to deal with them too much yet. I'm still going through getting the psych eval done & nutritional eval, etc... Then I can get my initial consultation done.

I loved Dr. Weber's whole outlook on my surgery and aftercare. As my mom (my biggest support)would say--he's very much into his success. But I would say that could be but his success is my success so I'm getting in line and following. I loved his personality and his wanting to see me everyday after surgery (even if he came in at 10:30pm because he was busy all day and had tickets to the Sonics LOL!) He was very dedicated and after losing about 20lbs in one week I'm sticking to his program. As for his office staff I loved Edie-who also came to see me after surgery-and Lisa was very friendly and really knew her stuff and was on top of everything, the other's were okay to work with. I was a bit frustrated when they tried to re-schedule my pre-op apt 2 days before surgery but after some negotiating the person talking to me got somebody who knew what they were talking about on the line and they scheduled me sooner.

My first impression of Dr Weber is that he knows his specialty and is one of the best on the West Coast. He is confident and requires his patients to follow a structured plan of attack on our morbid obesity. He has us on regimented physical activity and logging every bite we eat to show us just how much we really do consume. You will have to attend a group orientation before you can see Dr. Weber. He requires several tests to be done, if you want to get a jump on things it behooves you to get them done before you even go for your intial consult. I recommend getting your Nutritional Eval, Ultra Sound, Structured Psychological Interview with a PhD of your choice, a recent Pap and all of your records that pertain to Obesity copied before you even enter the door.

So far I have dealt with his nurse Lisa who is very pleasant and helpful, Summer the receptionist who is also very nice. I've a had a little problem getting a return call from Pam, but I know she is really busy so not much I can do.
