i am posting to ask all you wonderful people to send prayers and wishes to a dear person, Penny. i have been emailing Penny for a short while now and as you all know , she had her surgery last Monday the 2nd....i spoke with her 2 days after and she was doing fantastic,between talking to her and her wonderful husband Gary on the phone and sending emails, i thought everything was going to be just fine.....Penny returned home last thursday , and was drinking her broths and cream soups,everything was going well, friday she got a low grade fever(101)and was told by her surgeon that she should take liquid tylenol, which she did..saturday morning came and she was better,she had a reasonably good day saturday....on sunday she couldn't even hold down water and was taken back into hospital, where it took the Dr's 6.5 hours to find the leak, place Iv's and catheters into her abdominal wall, to enable the leak to be stopped and gas and infection to be drained....Penny was so close to death...she is going to be in the hospital for another week or so, and on IV feeding for another 30 days,Nil by mouth for that time.....she is so scared, for the entire brief time i spoke to her this morning she cried, we both cried....i am scared for my new friend...she is a tue Christian woman,kind, caring and helpful to others, but now this sweet angel needs our prayers and help....so please, send her some love and support both her and her husband need some prayers sent their way...
