"Dr. Jenkins did my Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy on October 22, 2007. Since my surgery I have lost 90 lbs. from my highest weight ever. I am so happy he did my surgery as he is a very professional and caring surgeon. He explained to me that this type surgery was a safer option for me with such a high BMI. To have the Intestinal By-Pass was not a safe option for me. I really appreciated the way he explained things and how well he listened to my concerns and questions and answered each of them fully and was completely forthcoming with me. I have found my weight loss from this procedure to be much more desireable since I lose well following a healthy eating lifestyle and not too quickly that I am left with lots of sagging skin.
