2/10/04 It's been one year, five months, and fourteen days since surgery. I have released only 150 pounds. I want to release about 40 more then I'll be at goal. I got a little discouraged when I checked by BMI and still fell under the morbid obese area, but I must not let that get me down. I have come so far in my journey. I would be happy where I am but I need to be able to see a difference in the size of my hips. Other people can see the difference but I can see it with the eyes. I know there is a difference because I have gone down 14 clothing sizes but I want to look in the mirror and see it. Nevertheless I AM BLESSED!!!!!!!!
10/3/02 It's been a very long time since I've updated. I want to thank you all for all your prayers, posts, and even the walk in the hall:) You ladies really have no idea what your stopping by my room did for me. Praise God for you. I am doing very well at this time. I'm not sure at the moment how much weight I have RELEASED right now. I will say it that way because if you loose something then you want to find it and I sure don't want to find the weight again.(A little something I picked up at a support group). I will try to be more timely in my updates
9/11/02 I am two weeks and a day post-op. I am just trying to get use to the idea of the artificial sweeteners. I can't stand the after taste and I rather go unsweetened. I was 391 on morning of surgery and at the time I had my sutures removed I was down 16 pounds. Praise GOD!
8/20/02 It's been a while since I logged on but the new and latest news is that my surgery has been bumped up a day. Believe it or not, I have absolutely no anxiety about the surgery itself. My anxiety is about waking up in pain.
6/24/02 I have been scheduled for my surgery on August 28, 2002. I am still celebrating right now and will be back later to post more information. This is all I know for now and it is enough. I still celebrating.
I claimed it and it has come to pass. I had to send in information about me having had my thyroid tested and found to be normal. I did that and PRAISE GOD, I was informed today 5-22-02 that I was approved. I am now awaiting my confirmation date with Dr. Fabito. I understand he is out of town or will be going out and he is booked up through August, I've waited this long so a few more months it is.
