2/10/04 It's been one year, five months, and fourteen days since surgery. I have released only 150 pounds. I want to release about 40 more then I'll be at goal. I got a little discouraged when I checked by BMI and still fell under the morbid obese area, but I must not let that get me down. I have come so far in my journey. I would be happy where I am but I need to be able to see a difference in the size of my hips. Other people can see the difference but I can see it with the eyes. I know there is a difference because I have gone down 14 clothing sizes but I want to look in the mirror and see it. Nevertheless I AM BLESSED!!!!!!!!

I know it feels wonderful to finally be through all of it. I would love to talk with you so that I can see how you are doing. If you are up to it please feel free to call me at work at ext 3324. I will be working nights 7pm-7a.m starting Tuesday so you can call me at work. Once again, my blessings toward you, on such a wonderful new beginning. Hope to talk to you soon. Dear Dionne: First of all, I am so happy to have found you. I have read your post several times over, contemplating whether I should write you. Well, as you can see I have taken the plunge. I happen to come upon your post here and realize that you work at SIUE. I almost couldn't contain myself. I also work at SIUE and am trying to get the WLS approved. Please help me. I have not a clue on how to fill out the diet history information or how to go about getting the process started. I really need guidance. I really want to get this right the first time so please be my angel. I would love to have someone who lives in the area and who has had to deal with HealthLink to be an angel to me. I just need someone that can empathize with me because they too have gone down that path. Please feel free to call me at Ext 3324 (police department) between the hours of 7pm-7am. I am currently working nights. My e-mail address is [email protected] I will be attending the seminar at New Start on August 21, 02. I look forward to hearing from you. Looking forward to meeting with you. Rhonda D
