Hello Michelle, Thank you for your very thorough journaling throughout this surgery process. It really helped me to read it today. I am sending good thoughts your way for more weight loss and successful recovery. My children are adults now and my memories of proms, marriages, new babies.....not to speak of family celebrations over the holidays, are ever so dear and precious to me. You did the right thing in taking charge of your health at a young age. My hat is off to you !!! My next appointment is Tuesday and I will find out if I am a good candidate for lap-band surgery. I am 61 and became morbidly obese over the last 12 years. At this point, I am more overwhelmed by the life style changes (exercise and menu), then I am over the surgery itself. Although, with fibromyalgia and osteo-arthritis, I am concerned about the trauma setting off a flare up of the fibro. I also sleep with a cpap machine for the past year. It took me months to get used to it but now, I feel so much better. I am grateful to whomever it was invented that!! This is getting long now......tell me about the little pocket animals you raise. Are they pets?? Sincerely, Linda Lemke

I just want to thank all of you for your words of support. This was a hard decision for me because of having young kids and the risks involved but I know in the long run if I wouldn't have the surgery my time with them would not have been very long with the way my health is going.I wish everyone health and love an after March 2nd I'll be on the loser side.
