We both had open rny's in 2001. Mine (Doug, aka: OLD RODEO CLOWN PANTS), was in Oct and I have lost 215 lbs. I started at 450!!!! My sweet wife, Nancy, had hers in June and has lost 110 lbs. Hi Melissa. I would choose a close friend. Or a significant other. Husband, Boyfriend, girlfriend, religous figure in your life, parent, son, daughter, neice, nephew, aunt, uncle, a trusted co-worker. Any one can be an angel. All you have to do is pick your best choice, someone who will post for you and retrieve your posts of well wishers. Hope this helped. I am having a co-wls friend as mine as well as my husband. My daughter is my third. I would choose my son but he is going in for knee surgery this friday. So he will be out for the time. Otherwise he would be right there with my daughter. I wish you luck in your search. And for an uneventful surgery and recovery. Keep up with the posts. I'll be watching for them.

Melissa, I didn't have a angel either, and I waited but had no responds, so I just asked someone I knew and trusted. a person who cared and loved me dearly. I just put that person as my angel. It worked out great cause she was a loving and faithful angel who was always by my side. MY DEAR MOM. A angel don't have to come this site, it can be anyone. take care. ~*~Hugs~*~

Melissa: I just looked in the library for you, and it appears that you basically find someone who lives relatively close to you and maybe is having surgery around the same time as you, and you kind of correspond with them and ask if they would be your angel. Or maybe you could ask on the q & a board if someone in your area would be your angel? Good luck on your upcoming surgery!
