I am feeling sooooooooooooo good right now!  Today is my 8th weddidng anniversary and I am still in love !  I went to the doctor yesterday and I am right on target!  He took my strips off and I feel so naked without them!  I just wanted to drop in and let yall know how I am doing!

I gotta say that I am feeling really good theses days after my relapse!  I was losing weight , then messed around and wound up in the ER for gas essentially!  I had weighed myself that morning and I was at 270.  They weigh me before i was admitted that evening and I was 279!  WTF!  Crazy IV fluids and crap.  I weighed myself this morning and I was 270 angain!  My spirits were up and I didn't freak out,  Yeah me ... progress!   HOwever I am number obsessed and will be until some of this weight comes off!   Tommorrow is my first post-op visit ( ER dosen't count LOL) to hae my band filled.  I am a little nervous b/c my incision site is still sore!  How was you 1st band fill?  Anyone who has had LAP- Band  Surgery please feel free to comment!

Well I pleased to report that I am doing a lot better.  I did have some complications on Tuesday of this week.  I was having a lot of pressure and I had Ryan go and get me some gas-x so I could get dome relief and in the morning it was tolerable and I noticed there was still a nugget of pain hidden in my ribcage, I was also feel short of breath.  So I called my doctor and he told me to go the ER.  He was concerned that I have gotten a Pulmonary embolis(blood clot) on my lung.  So I went and had an EKG, CAT Scan, a rectal, 2 IV's at the same time, Chest x-ray and then they admitted me for the night..  After all of the drama, I can report that I do not have any blood clots!  It was gas from hell!  I was so scared and I had to mostly do it on my own! 

I am home now no shortness of breath and and able to move gas.  I have a lot of hi protein drinks that I bought and I no longer want I am willing to sell super cheap1/2 off or less.  Let me know , I'm in Philly!

Okay, so I didn't have a pleasant time in the hospital.  I made it thru the surgery and I had NO complications and I am healing!  I have 5 Incisions and I will post  pics of them later.  I have the most pain from where the access port is placed.  The other 4 do not hurt.  i am tolerating liquids and find that between the gas bloating and my new small ass stomach not much goes in!  I am trying new protein items and right now I can recommend, Unjury and can be bought online at Unjury.com.  I have tried the chicken soup and strawberry sorbet and they are pretty good. I HATE Slimfast especially when all i can do is sloowly sip andI don't want that mess in my mouth any longer then it has to. I just sent Ryan out to GNC to pick me up some other options and I must say I am looking forward to trying them.  If anyone has any creative suggestion for liquid diet Bring It!

I was not impressed by the level of care i received while at the hospital.  It all started with the mini-bitch then they got worse once I got to my room.  I think I had a total of 8 nurses while I was there and half of them were good but the rest of them were CRAP!  I would ring the bell for help with getting to the bathroom and I had to wait like 10 minutes.  I had just gotten my foley removed and I was anxious to pee on my own and not in the bed!  So I managed to get myself out of the bed and get to the bathroom with my IV machine in tow!  I realized that it was too much so I rang again they said the would send some one and no one came.  This was beginning to be a trend for these broads!  Basically these @##@% left me hanging alot. 

Shout out to Maureen, Michelle, Mikia(CNA), Patrick, and two others I can't remember their names. 

We got to the hospital at 645am and checked int ot the Short Procedure Unit andin less than 5 minutes, I was called back to get undressed and into my OR outfit.  They gave me a shot of Heprin which is a blood thinner.  I sat in this little room and they called my husband bak to be with me until they put me on the gurney.  We watched the news and I told him about the mini-bitch of a nurse that was in charge of me.  She never introduced herself to me, never called me by my name, frankly she looked like I had just woke her ass up!  Thank GOD I didn't have her long!  

This older guy came to get me with a gurney and helped me on and at that moment it started to feel real to me that I am having surgery.The halls began to seem unusually long and echo-y!  Ryan followed behind me up until that point where they say, "ok your gonna need to give her a hug and a kiss."  We did and I was teary eyed as they wheeled me into what looked like pre-op stable, equipped with curtianed stalls.  Members of the surgical team came out to talk to me and ask me the same questions," what is your full name, date of birth and what are you having done today.  I had my own stall and the nurse anesthisisit came and put my IV in and gave me an injection of a drug that tookt he edge off.  Soon after I got to leave my stall and into the OR.  I was able to slide onto the operating table and then they strapped mt the table like I was crazy! They told me to take deep breaths and next thing I know I was being wheeled to my bed room and the first face I saw was my hubby's!

I have my surgery tommorrow and I must say that the nerves have kicked up a notch!  I haven't slept well since I got my surgery date.  I got my damn period on Monday...talk about timing Mother Nature!  I got 2 pimples!  I haven't had pimples since I was a teenager!  WTH!  Now my insurance company is giving me greif about my CPAP machine.  On top of matters I haven't had my smart card that records my sleep activity in for like a month and now I may be responsible for a fee or give up the machine.  I don't need this crap b4 I go in. 

On a lighter note I have gotten alot of encouragement from my new OH friends and it means the world to me.  I want to say thank you for all of you well wishes and kind words.  At this point I just wasnt the surgery to go well.  I never wanted to be a "loser" so bad!  I have on my clothes that I will be doing my pics in, so you all can see how I am losing weight.  I still have some last minute running around to do mainly for Miles(my son).  He has been asking for grapes and bananas so who am I to deny my child healthy foods. 

I am really ready to go to the hospital and have my procedure!  I am fantasizing about the new me!  I am so excited! I can't wait to be able to buy smaller panties and bras! I want to buy mirrors for my home!  The ones I do have I have no control over, like the one that is on the medicine cabinet and I just purchased an armoir and it has a full length mirror and it is very hard for me to look at myself be this big.  It's all about to change.  I don't think that I have put unrealistic expectations on myself.  My goal is to be healthy for me and my family!  I will be married for 8 years on November 10th and I haven't had my honeymoon yet!  Well neat April/May  we are GOING!  I can't wait to buy a new bathing suit!  Whoot!  I see a lot of people get the surgery and forget about all the people who have encouraged them,  I will post updates and pics so that you can see the  transformation as well.  Good luck to all who are have their surgery!
