Well, I am 9 and 1/2 hours away from my new life and becoming a little nervous, not bad though! I want to thank all the wonderful people who took the time to call me tonight. Mickey, Cheryl, Shanna, thanks so much for being a wonderful support team. And to my family, thank you for standing by me and not voicing any apprehensions you may be feeling right now. Well, here I go, into my new life...Keep the prayers rolling everyone. Thank you again!!!!

Diane... The time is finally here! I know you are nervous and excited. It is time to start your new life. I wish I could be there with you in the room to watch out for you. I can't be there (they don't have my size scrubs... hee hee)But, I am sending my prayers and love to you. You have such a support group from Doug, Dathan, and Tiana to your girls, to your new found WLS friends. You won't be alone sweetie. We are there for you. Tomorrow is your day... and you will shine! October 24, 2001 My Dear Friend, I can hardly believe that in less than 24 hours you will have joined me on the "other side." Tomorrow will be the beginning of a new life for you, even better than the one you are experiencing now, for you won't be hampered any more by those excess pounds. You will begin to feel energetic and much more positive about the way you look and feel. I will be forever grateful to the Lord for giving our surgeon the expertise and ability to change our lives and make us healthy again. Please know that I will be praying for you tonight and all day tomorrow, for your sugery to be successful and your recovery to go well. I will talk to you tonight and visit you on Friday or Saturday.
