Hi gang, For anyone that is keeping tabs on Kim through this page, I have sad news to report. She is back in the hospital. I just talked with her husband and he said she is feeling a little better tonight. She went in Monday with pains in her side and shoulder. Come to find out, she has a small leak. I don't know if it is something she left the hospital with or something she developed once she got home. She has not had anything to eat or drink since Monday, it is my understanding that they are feeding her through a tube right now. Keep her in your prayers.

Kim I am happy to read you are doing better. It was nice to read you had a 13pound weight loss. I haven't written in awhile I was on vacation. Keep up the great work. Elaine

Doh, I keep hitting the enter button too soon! I just got off the phone with Kim and she sounds great!! She said that her blood pressure is stable and the nausea is under control. She is getting pretty independent about getting up and about by herself. Way to go Kim! She may be coming home on Friday evening or Saturday. Kim and I met on ObesityHelp.com and have become friends. I am so happy she is doing well and is in good spirits! Hugs to my buddy! Nikki

This is not Kim's angel but just wanted to give her my support. I see that Kris has already told you we went to see her this morning. I was quite surprised at her appearence....I thought she looked great for someone who just went thru what she had. I must note this is the very first time Kim and I have met and I think she is sweet. We also met her sweet hubby. Jeff is a very nce person. I felt kind of guilty after I left though...because I asked sooooo many questions. She was probably glad to get rid of me. WAY TO GO GIRL!!! I AM PROUD OF YOU AND YOU WILL BE TOO!! Take care and God bless, Michelle Taylor

7/18/01 Michelle Taylor and I went to see Kim today at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, DE. She looked really well. She has been up in a chair twice as of this AM. Said the surgery went smoothly and she was in her room by 11 AM. She is on Demerol for pain, as she developed an "itch" allergy to morphine. She said it is hard to get up. She has had no liquids or ice as of this AM. Said she was probably going to get ice chips sometime today. Dr. Smoot's wife was her anesthesiologist. She is so happy to have all the support from her friends and WLS friends. Just thought I would let you all know how she is.
