8/25/01 Brief update from me--as of 8/25/01 have lost 20 pounds!! Feel pretty good and am doing a lot of walking. Have one more week before I go back to work. Thanks again for all your support!

8/17/01 Just a brief update. Had my first post-op visit today and got my staples out. Have lost 10.5 pounds since surgery on the 6th. I am pleased!! Have increased my activity and am doing more around the house, too. Feeling better every day. Thanks again for all your support and prayers!!

8/14/01 Hi--It's me!! Thanks to Michelle Taylor for being my angel. She's been great! I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this time!! My surgery went fine and I get my staples out this Friday. Having some trouble sleeping, so I hope this goes away soon. Had a run-in with the chewable vitamins--don't take them for a couple of weeks after surgery.Will keep you posted on my recovery on my page.

Hanging up the Angel Wings now. Kris got to come home yesterday. I called her today and checked on her. She said she was getting around some but is having alot of trouble sleeping. Kris I wish you all the luck in the world. Michelle

08/10/01-Dear Kris: Congratulations on your surgery and I'm glad everything is going and has gone well. I wish you a speedy recovery and much success in your weight loss. Angel Update Here!! Well, Well, Well, Kris Is going home tomorrow. She was doing laps tonight when I stopped at the hospital. She was getting solid food for the first time today. Isn't it crazy how they give us solid food after having this surgery! I cannot imagine eating real food that soon. To you Kris....I am so proud of you and wish you the best of luck in the future. Angel Update Here!! I talked to Kris a couple times today and she sounded pretty darn good. She has been up more today and walking around the nurses station. She was a lot better she told me after she got her nerve meds. They did bring her jello and beef broth today and she only was able to eat the jello. She said they took her for a chest xray today also because of some chest rattle. I will post when I know more. Michelle
