"TeachMyOwn" or "Teach" as she is fondly known in chat has come through her surgery in 1 1/2 hours and was in her room 1 hour later. Her hubby, Dennis (who had his own surgery 3 weeks ago) is with her and said that she is doing fine except for pain control. Their doctor usually uses demerol instead of a morphine pump. Most recently they gave her another pain medicine with her Demerol to see if that helped and it seems to be currently. They will probably put he on morphine if current measures don't work. She has an NG tube and one drain today. I will call her in about 24 hours to see how she is coming along. Love,

Hi Lori! Thanks for the good wishes. So we're both on for tomorrow, huh?!!! Not too much longer to wait. I am so anxious, nervous, excited, SCARED!!! But I know it's the right thing to do. We will both be fine. A speedy recovery to you!!
