Just talked to "Teach" and she is doing much better, but the doctor had her stay an extra day in the hospital just to make sure. She went back onto demerol last night and is taking darvacet again by mouth today. She is still groggy, is trying to walk more, and had her first shower today which felt good. She is already tired of her "liquid diet" and ready to eat! She will be released from the hospital tomorrow morning. Love,

Hi Teach!! I hear that you are having a rough time and I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. It WILL be worth the pain and suffering in the long run..... I know that it is hard to visualize and even believe this now; where you are at is the most difficult place in the process of 'crossing over'. Hang in there and know that we are all thinking of you and waiting for you in chat!!

"TeachMyOwn" or "Teach" as Lori is known in chat is having a bit of a rough go of things! That dear heart had to be catherized 3 times, switched to demerol - to morphiene - to darvacet finally to control her pain, and given visterol to control terrible nausea she had after drinking orange juice. She vomited over and over and it really hurt her incision. She was weak and just plain not feeling good. She is drinking water, broth, and jello without problems. She got her NG tube out yesterday and doesn't even remember getting it out. She got her IV and drain out today which didn't hurt. She will be evaluated tomorrow - but it may be she will stay a little longer in the hospital. Lori saw her hubby, Dennis, have an easier time with his surgery 3 weeks ago... and so she is surprised that things haven't gone so smoothly for her. Please everybody click on Lori's name here and leave her a message of encouragement. Love,
