I have great news!!!! I got a date it's 5-13-03 for the lap. gastric bypass. I first wanted the lapband that took about 10 days to get denied. Then I sent in for the VBG which took 7 days. Then I sent in for the lap. gastric bypass that took 6 days to get approved. I am soooooo happy.

04-07-03 What a great day!!!! To day my dr.'s office called me to say that my insurance company said "YES" to the lap. gastric bypass. I am waiting for Tammy to call me to set up some more test and the date. I am so close to having a date. I can't wait. I will be on the loseing side soon.

3-31-03 I have the approval for the VBG, but now after reading about gastric bypass that is the one for me. My insurance company said they can send in for it (gastric bypass) to be approved and if they say no then I get the VBG. I think about people being able to stretch out their stomach and I don't want to go through that. Best of luck to everyone.

3-19-03 Today in the mail I was approved for the VBG. I had my mind set on the lap band that when I got turned down for that I thought the VBG is close to the samething. I will get that one. After I did some reading on the VBG and the RNY I learned that the RNY is better for me. My dr. is sending in for the RNY. The only thing I didn't like about the RNY is the big incision, but then I read that it can be done laparoscopic so that is what we are trying for now. If they turn me down then my dr. said they are going to do the VBG. I am so happy right now. It is in the hands of God now. God Bless everyone and as soon as I hear anything I will post.
