5-5-03 I can not believe it I had a little over a month and a blink of the eye it's only a week away. I think this last week will be the hardest for me. I'm kinda happy no work for a while, but I know there will be days that I wish I was there. I woke up early this morning to think about the surgery and what it will be like after. The first day I wish I could sleep the day away, but I know I will need to walk. In between walking I will nap. The only thing I hate about the idea is having them put the mask on my face. I feel like I can't breath. I will tell them that the day of surgery. Wish me luck.

Hi Angel, Congrats on your surgery date. Good luck to you. As far as the protein drinks are concerned, you may want to go to your local health food store and inquire. And also you may want to interest yourself with muscle magizines. They are chock full of information regarding protein drinks and ways to get your protein requirements in. They are also very keen on low sodium and low to no sugar products. Online check out www.eas.com. Myoplex ready made protein shakes and powder form can be found here and they are pretty good too. Also get yourself the Atkins diet book. That is also informational. Hope this helps.

4-29-03 Just wanted to stop and say that as of 4-30-03 I will have only 14 days to go till surgery. I can't wait! The past few weeks my back has been so bad it is so hard to get out of bed and go to work. I want this pain to be a thing of the past. At work we take the children (I work in a child care) for a walk today I came back and couldn't breath, but didn't want anyone to notice. This is the first time this year that I was out to take the children out. I just wish I could have enjoyed it more. Now days I have been so tired between work, not sleeping, and helping my father (lung cancer) I am so drained! Can anyone tell me where to get the protein drinks from? I know I can get some off the internet somewhere. One of co-workers think that I am taking the easy way and I said this is going to be far from easy. Everyone tells me I am so lucky, but they don't understand what I have benn going through over the years. Well for now I am going to go.

4-16-03 I can't wait I have only 28 days till surgery. Next week I have 4 hours wroth of test then I wait till one week before the surgery for another test. Then after that I will be ready. I have started to buy things in the house so that I am set for when I come home. One of friends said "you are taking the easy way out", I said this is far from the easy way out. It is going to be a hard road, but I am very willing to do it. I will try to post again soon, but these days I am so worn out and tired that I can't stay up, but then I am up in the middle of the night. I hate that I am so tired and my body will not sleep.
