<font face = "comic sans ms"> <font color = "red">MARIA~~ Your post about how you shared your pain from being overweight with your husband touched me. The first time I approached my husband about WLS, he said "abolustely NOT". I waited awhile and then did the same thing you did. I told him about all the physical and emotional pain that was caused by being overweight. For the first time, he shared his concerns about my health. After that, he was 100% supportive. It takes education like that to make someone understand the reason that a person has WLS is not cosmetic. A Dr on 20/20 Friday said, "This surgery is not just to help someone lose weight... it's to save their life."<P> <img src="http://www.pchugclub.com/yabbimages/animated/HugsSharonAni.GIF">

Hi Maria, My PCP also did not believe in the surgery. I believeed in it; she is no longer my PCP; I found a PCP who supported my decision. Best of luck.
