Hi Cherrie, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, but it's good that you are still here with us (all things considered), to tell us about it!!! I can relate to you're feeling ashamed and embarassed. I think that we can all tell a story or two about that. Please, just keep digging your heals in and don't give up until you get this surgery. I am waiting for approval and I know that waiting can be quite frustrating. I will keep you in my prayers. If you ever need someone to talk to, good, bad or indifferent, send me a note ([email protected]). I love to build new freindships! God Bless you Cherrie!!!!

Cherrie - I read your post today and I'm sorry to hear about your car accident. You asked us to respond to you, but I am not clear what sort of response you are looking for, but since you seem to be a lovely person who needs support, then I will gladly give that to you. I have to tell you, as for your embarrassment about being heavy in front of the rescue people, don't be! There is a very high proportion or rescue personnel that are morbidly obese. Also, since more than half of the population is morbidly obese, these rescue people deal with that all the time, you are not the first and won't be the last. I sincerely doubt that they would ever judge you. Anyway, what a scare you had! I'm sorry you had to go thru all of that. Keep tying to get approved for the surgery - don't give up. I've weighed 35 pounds less than you did when I started my journey and I have lost 87 pounds in a little over 7 months. You can too. Best of luck to you and feel free to email me if you need support.

(((((((((( Cherrie))))))))) so sorry to hear about your accident, but so glad your alive! God didn't want you yet. That is a good sign :) Your not alone, we all have had embarrassing moments, regarding our weight and it sucks! I think everyone needs a wake-up call, similiar to drunks before we make a committement to make ourselves better. HON do not starve yourself, that will only land you back into the hospital for malnutrition. I know this... I tryed it myself. Hugs and prayers, please take care of yourself and let us know how your doing.

Dear Cherrie, Hi, It's nice to meet you. I would like to offer some free advice and it's worth every penny...........First off, you have to take charge of your health. Don't wait for people at this site to come to you. You can go to other peoples profiles and read their stories of their journey in weight loss surgery (WLS) and go to the Q&A and RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! It's up to you alone how much you find out and learn about WLS. The tools are here and all you have to do is use them. You might want to start out learning about the different types of surgery. The gold standard is RNY then you have LAP or open........If you don't know what these are then this is a good start to enter the words in the search feature in Q&A section. God Bless!
