White Plains Hospital

"The nrsing staff were dolls i really apreciated there care."

William Homan

"My first impression of doctor Homan is that he is a very orderly man. He opened his door to the consult room in a suit and tie. His eyes sparkeled and he had a very genuine smile. He was late because of surgery and throughly appologized for my wait. I had a letter for him to read,I expected a causal brush off and on with what he was doing. This wasn't his attitude.Right there he read what I had to say and gave it his full attention. This highly impressed me.I knew he was busy yet he didn't rush thru. He gave me his full attention for over a hour. He was encouraging and gave me great hope. He explained everything and helped me to see I wasn't just some fat lazy person, but someone who has a genetic disorder. It would be hard to find something bad about Dr Homan, if anything it was my wait, but that was an unusual circumstance. The first things you should know before you go see Dr. Homan is he is very busy,he works with people all over the nation, and he likes helping us genetically overweight people because as he said "we are the most discriminated against group of people and we are the ones who need the help most." One of Dr Homan's highly empazied points in consult is that this is a tool! That without following aftercare this will accomplish you nothing.I highly admire him for this. The second highest emphazized area is there are risks. He wanted me to know that this is a risky surgery. That this is not "the easy way out". Overall I would rate Dr.Hoaman on a scale of 1- 10 about a 9. He has excellent bedside Manners and excellent knowledge and skills. He is surgically competent. I could never distinguish between which of these is better. His office staff was courteous and patient with my questions and were knowledgable, they treated me with respect and as if my wait were a inconveinience to me. All In all, My first visit was one of the most postive experiences I have had in a long time. "

Valerie Homan

"Mrs Homan is very knowledgeable about the plight of the obese and she understands the emtional upheaval one experiences Before,During, and After the WLS. Her husband id Dr William Homan MD,DPhil. He is the head of surgery for White Plains Hospital's Gastric Surgery Department. I highly recomend her to anyone considering WLS"

Denise Addorisio

"Denise is within Dr Homan's office. She was very visual something I need. I was shocked to see the measring spoons and other items on thetable when i walked in but it really sent the message home what I was doing here and how little I wold be eating."

Joel Danisi

"I fond this doctor to refuse to listen to all my problems(medically) He was over focused to the point that he missed several key things that could help him in diagnosis!"
