Lonna: I wish you only the best on your healing from the emergency bowel surgery. What a surprise! I'm so glad they detected it early enough that there wasn't any more damage. :) (lap ds, January 25, 2001, preop: 307 lbs/bmi 45 now: 178 lbs/bmi 25),

This is lonna's son Eric she is staying at my house in Woodland. My mom is doing ok finally, she had a problem yesterday and had to goto the hospital. I went with her and she is doing better. Mom said it turned out to be dumping syrodome she is also having a hard time finding the right meds to deal with the pain that doesn't upset her stomach. She has had great support from friends and family and the local fire dept. and she says thank you!

*****ANGEL UPDATE***** Great News! I spoke with Lonna this evening, she was released from the hospital this afternoon and is resting comfortably at her son's home. She will return home to sunny Central Oregon on Saturday!! Thanks to all you you out there who sent notes and kept Lonna in your thoughts and prayers on the day of her surgery!....Kari

I spoke to Lonna this morning and she sounded so much better than yesterday (talking through that morphine haze can be TOUGH!!!). She expects to be released at noon today and hopes to be back in beautiful central Oregon by Saturday. She's feeling good, has been walking a lot - says some of the op sites are a sore, but that's to be expected. She mentioned that the meals they bring you in the hospital are WAY too big for what you feel like eating. I'm so excited to have her on the other side!! Now we just have to get Kari on this side....but this will come! Watch out, world! The Three Musketeers will have NOTHING on us!! Hugs and blessings, my friend!
