I spoke with Shirley this morning and she sounded great. She's VERY thirsty and she was going to do the leak test today so that she could have some ice chips. Ms Ginger went to see her today and reported back that Shirley looked AWESOME! Shirley has had quite a few visitors. I was hoping to see her today myself but it didn't work out. Hopefully Shirley will get to go home tomorrow! ~Kyla (Angel #2)

Shirley - I'm so glad to read that all is well with you, I knew it would be! I've been thinking about you and praying for your speedy recovery. I also hope you are keeping good notes! Angel # 2 reporting in. I haven't talked to Shirley yet, myself, but here is a report from our support group and Angel #1: Ginger wrote: I spoke with Shirley's Step Father tonight around 7:30 and he said she was doing just great. He said that the surgery went tremendously and that the surgeon said that it went as perfectly as it could have gone. He said she was pretty much sleeping and was controlling her pain quite well with the Morphine !! Seeing that she was mostly sleeping and knowing how I was right after surgery.. he and I both felt that it would be best to come visit her in the morning.. so that's what I decided to do. I will post more as I know more. Her room at Scott and White in Temple is 585 and the number is 254-724-2111. I am sure once she is more awake she would love hearing from well wishers. Glad she made it safely to the other side !! YEAH SHIRLEY !!

Shirley- I know that I won't get to see you tomorrow at the support meeting, but know that we will be with you in spirt. I will be keeping track of you from Seattle and can't wait to see and hear about each and every wonderful step you make on you WLS journey. Shirley, Best wishes on your surgery tomorrow morning! You know, I'll be thinking of you and will be there to visit you later in the day. You've only just begun, this is just the beginning and the BEST is yet to come! I'm so thrilled for you and know you will be taken care of. Dr. Symmonds is wonderful...you will grow to love him more and more everyday. He's just an angel and will give you the BEST care. You deserve the BEST! I'll be there for you...YOU CAN DO IT!
