"I had a very good experience at Scott and White. I had a great room with a bariatric bed...it moves to a sitting position so you just have to stand up....no trying to pull yourself out of the bed. It also had a sitting area with a couch and a chair...which was really nice for my family and visitors. The parking lot is huge but they have shuttles that bring you right to the door. The staff for the most part was really great....you always have one or two that are having a bad day but overall they were very nice. I would recommend this hospital to anyone having surgery."
" The first time I saw Dr.Symmonds was at an information meeting that he requires everyone to go to. He gave a lot of information and he seemed to have a sense of humor. As I have seen him a couple of times since then, I really like him. He is very thorough and wants to be sure that you understand just exactly what is going to be happening. He is very matter of fact about this procedure and does not pull and punches. He lets you know that this is only a tool and whether it works or not is entirely up to you by the way you choose to use it. I liked that he was so honest.
He does have an aftercare program that he wants you to attend. There is a support group that meets a couple of times a month. He does address the risks of surgery and he is very honest. I really like Dr.Symmonds and feel very comfortable putting my life in his hands.
His office staff seems to be very nice as well. His assistant Paulette is awesome. Dana, who schedules all of your preop stuff is great also, she is sweet and very helpful. "
