Virginia, I'm so sorry for your loss. Our pets are our family members, and we grieve just as if one of our family had passed. At least you know the dog is peaceful now, without pain. And you can concentrate on taking care of yourself. Good luck with your WLS.

Dear Virginia: I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dog. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. They are our fur-babies, and it hurts alot. Allow yourself to grieve; there's no shame in it. When we had to have our little shih-tzu put down several years ago due to an enlarged heart, I cried and cried for days. God Bless you, and good luck on your surgery coming up. Virgina I am so sorry that your beloved pet and friend has died. You had an awful choice to make, and made it. You did the right thing! He had a long and healthy life, a life you made possible! Grieving is necessary, so don't feel ashamed to cry and grieve, or to feel lost without your pet. Then focuse on your upcoming surgery, as your best friend would have wanted you to do. Just hang in there, one day at at time, and best of luck to you! ((((HUGS))))

Dear Virginia, My condolences in the passing of your dear friend and confidante. Losing a pet is as bad as losing a child since we are just as close to them. Alot of people don't understand this but its very true. They enrich our lives and bring us joy with not expecting much in return. May you have a great surgery and quick recovery. Best wishes to you on your big day! I'm very excited for you. My surgery is this month too(23rd). You are so fortunate to have such a supportive family. MAJOR HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!! Virginia got her surgery date! She got the call from the surgeon's office today and it will be done on August 5th OF THIS YEAR!!!! I couldnt' pass up this opportunity to tell the world for her. Congratulations to you Virginia and good luck.

Hi, Virginia: I wanted to congratulate you on your approval, and also to say have patience, dear! I know it's tough; it took me almost 4 WEEKS after I was approved to get my date. I have to wait til August 19th to have my surgery, and boy, if you don't think THAT sucks...I know it's hard to wait, but just take one day at a time, that's how I'm trying to get through this torture. It's a slow process, but from what I can see, it's well worth the wait! Good luck and God Bless!
