Virginia--I think your fears are normal. I prayed about this surgery and knew that it was the right thing for me to do, but I still had doubts at times. I also work in a hospital and I think sometimes we know and see to much. I was so nervous in the operating room and asking so many questions that the anesthesiologist reminded me that I was the patient for that day and not an employee. It was hard for me to give up that control. When you start losing weight you will be so proud and feel so much better. God bless you on this journey.

Hi, Virginia: Just wanted to let you know that your fears and concerns are not irrational; they are perfectly normal. I'm going through the same thing (my surgery's scheduled for August 19th) and I have to keep reminding myself that it's all in God's hands and He will take care of me. Good luck, Sweetie, and God Bless!

Hello to you Virginia and to all who may read this on the message board. Virginia's surgery is just around the corner and she is, needless to say, quite excited. She has asked me to help her to remember to walk everyday so I am bugging her daily and thought some of you who may read this could send her an email also to remind her. I am excited for and proud of you Virginia and know that you will do well with the procedure. You are a fighter! Hang in there you.

Virginia - I am so sorry for the loss of your doggy. Just imagine, though, how happy he was to have you and all the love you gave him, how lucky he was. You will always have the memories of him to make you smile. When time has passed and the pain diminishes, I hope you open your heart and welcome a new friend into your life so another doggy can enjoy the love you have to give.

I send you my deepest sympathy on the loss of your dog. I know how very hard that is. Keep your memories close to your heart. Your dog was lucky to have such a great master. Take care of yourself through this time of grief...and good luck on your surgery!
