Hi Michelle, I have bcbs ppo of nc,and they approved me in less then 4 weeks.I didn't have to do a thing.My surgeons office filled out the papers and that was it.Hope you get the surgery soon and that the new ins. will cover.Good luck with your husbands new up coming job.Sounds great!!God bless,Lora

Michelle, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I will be praying for you and your surgeon. About feeling anxious, you wouldn't be human if you didn't have those feelings but I know most of us have not taken the decision for major surgery lightly. I know you are doing the right thing for you and anxiety is all a part of the process. I just found out Friday I was approved for open rnxy and am full of anxiety and excitement all at the same time. Have a healthy recovery.

Michelle, I am wishing you a safe, uncomplicated surgery and a swift, smooth recovery. I had my Open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having done it several years sooner. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that WLS is the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your healthy new life.
