Dear Candy~I'll be praying for your full and speedy recovery as you begin this journey of a lifetime. It's a wild ride, but definitely worth it! A sense of humor is IMPERITIVE!! Advice? You'll need ChapStick for sure in the hospital, but don't take the kind in the cylindrical tube that will immediately roll off of your little tray table and onto the floor. You won't be able to grope around on the floor to retrieve it, and the nurses CERTAINLY wo'nt be interested! Get the kind in the squeeze tube. Best of luck, and keep us posted on your progress!

Hi Candy... I am still working on insurance approval hopefully for Jan. surgery. But even with awhile to go I know how anxious you must be feeling. Part of you is so excited about this opportunity ahead of you and part of you scared to death. I'm 51 so I've seen a lot through the years and have had numerous health problems and surgeries, but I've learned something too. Everytime I worried through a problem it didn't change the outcome and only accelerated the panic. Each time I said, ok Lord, you know the outcome anyhow so I'll let you handle it, it felt like a lead weight slithered off of my shoulders. What I did do is make sure all of my ducks were in their row. I handled affairs that needed handling, put my proverbial house in order, made those visits to people I hadn't seen in awhile and made those calls, I cleaned my house inside and out and the time not only passed quickly but I felt an inner peace because whatever God planned, I did my part and: changed what I could change and accepted what I could not. With that, you will do just great and know that many many people on here are there with you. In the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving! Andrea
