Hi Steve, I am 13 months post-op and I am feeling great. I was wondering if you are still having second thoughts about having this surgery. You sounded pretty upset in your profile. I hope everything worked out for the better.

11/4/2000 Hi Steve, I hope by now you are feeling much better about your decision to have this surgery. You have been in my thoughts and prayers and yes I too questioned a couple of times if I have done the right thing too. I had my surgery done October 10th and am feeling MUCH MUCH beter. I have only been hungry a couple of times but yes I still miss eating and it's going to be a life time of adjusting. I went for my check up on October 19th and had lost 19 lbs. and the scales are starting to look better all the time. I still don't have much energy but it's getting better. Keep me posted on your progress and congraulations on having the worst part behind you. Don't get discouraged and hang in there, we are all praying and supporting you.

Well, Steve did just fine during surgery. He is in his room now and drinking clear liquids and walking the halls. I talked with his mom yesterday and he had a terrible night after surgery because a monitor kept him up all night. They switched him to a pca pump and he was sawing some logs when I called to check on him. Keep Steve in your thoughts as he recovers. I'm sure he will be online soon. He's expecting to come home on Saturday. I'm sure he would appreciate any emails.

Hi Steve, I want to wish you the very best on your upcoming surgery. While you are in Gainesvill, FL having your surgery I will be in Augusta, Me. having mine done. I too have been overweight all my life but you are smarter than I and are having it done while you are young. I waited until I was 56. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks ahead and I pray that you have a safe surgery and a speedy recovery. It will be so great to break free from the bondage that obesity has put us in and give us the quality of life we all deserve. (I have two sons, Steve and Pete that live in Florida and one that lives here in Maine.)Best of luck and God Bless.

I want to wish you the best of luck and let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will be having my surgery on 9/18, here in Mobile Alabama. I was scared and nervous but then I remembered that all I had to do was pray and place it in God's hands and the fear was gone. Now all I have to do is think about how nice it is going to be when I am to the other side. I hope all your dreams come true. ^j^
