Well, Here I am 4 weeks 1 day postop. I am down 39 pounds and feel pretty good. I went back to job #1 at 2 weeks postop and just talked to my boss about returning to job #2after my 6 week visit with my surgeon. My second job is very physical and I didn't want to mess anything up. I met 3 great women in the hospital that had the surgery either the same day as me or the day after and they have been wonderfully supportive. Thanks ladies. A friend of mine had surgery 5 days ago and I went to see him yesterday. He doesn't want to walk and I tried to tell him how important it is for him to get up and walk. I credit my quick recovery and release from the hospital to nothing more that walking. All you soon to be posts remember that when you are in there. He is doing good other than that. I went to the hospital where I work this morning and women that I have worked with for 6 years had to do double takes when they saw me and I've only been gone for 4 weeks. It was very uplifting that they noticed and I didn't tell them I was having WLS. So they weren't faking it. It was great. Good luck to everyone preparing. You'll do great just keep the faith.

Hi Linda, Wow I just read your info, I do believe they would have their hands full. It also has to be a comfort to know what to expect in your surgery, alot of us are going in blind and get a big surprise. You know how you should be treated by the staff and what you should be doing to help your selve. I will say a prayer for you today to have a safe and speedy recovery. Dear Precious Heavenly Father, thank you for the honor to be able to come into your presence and seek your face. You are so mighty and so awesome and nothing we do can earn the love that You give to us so freely. right now Lord, we lift up Linda to you as she is feeling some anxiety over her upcoming surgery. We all know what she feels Lord and feel so blessed to know that You are always with us, our loved ones have to stay behind the double doors but Lord, there is no keeping you out. Father,please guide the surgeons hands in this delicate surgery, put your legions of angels around her to keep her safe and warm and at peace, Lord, the peace that only YOU can give. How blessed we are that we can call on you, Thank you Lord for the awesome things that you have planned for Linda and for all of us! In Jesus Name, Amen!
