I am lactose intolerant and these drinks where the only thing I could take to get in extra protein. i love the Apple/Melon, Blue Raspberry and Fruit Punch.
I have one a day for 40 gm. of protein and try to get the rest from food.
I wish it was a little cheaper, but at $3.50 a day it really isn't too bad for the nutritional punch it packs.
I hate protein shakes and this was a great solution for me. One bottle gives you 40 grams of protein and it tastes like watered down kool aid or Gatorade. I like all the flavors pretty much the same. It's expensive but one bottle a day is good and then I only have to worry about getting 20 grams of protein for the day.
(indicates that they have used the product)This was my first trial with powdered protein shake. I'm still pre-Op and finding what I like. I blended this with some yogurt and skim milk and crushed ice and added a little bit of Splenda. Without the Splenda the taste seemed just a tad "flat." The Splenda seemed to help enhance the strawberry flavor. I wonder if sprinkling in some sugar-free strawberry gelatin or Kool-aid might help with the strawberry flavoring as well. I got this for $41 in a sports nutrition shop in Bismarck, ND. But then I found out that Bariatriceating.com (Susan Marie on the messageboards) sells the Chocolate and Vanilla for $31.95 which is an excellent value.
