Wow, first impression, great team of people. My doctor was very curtious and concerned about my well-being, he took the time to answer questions that I had and consel my mother about long term advantages (+).He addressed all the risks to surgery and made me feel right at home.

Negative, they are short staffed and I think that I am irratating them with questions regaurding insurance.

Drs. Rabkin and Jossart operate as a team. For my initial consult it was DR Jossart that I met. He was very nice and considerate. He answered all my questions. The office was in a bit of confusion having lost their office manager and their insurance person of late but tried to be accommodating nonetheless. I would have felt more comfortable if there wasn't a sense of being rushed... even so as I said all my questions were answered. Anyone who has investigated DS and these surgeons in particular will have no problem in judging their competence level for barriatric and lap procedures. Although aftercare wasn't discussed with the DR in particular it was with his RN and there is lots of info on their site about what is expected from the patient as far as followup lab testing, DR visits and compliance with nutrition and taking supplements. Risks of surgery were addressed during the visit with the RN and in the patient binder. I am fully confident in the skill level of these surgeons.

Dr. Rabkin and his staff are warm, caring and wonderful..they are having significant staffing problems right now, though.....so you need to very persistant to get what you need.....The $3000 "program fee" is of some concern..not really sure what it goes for..and no one seems to be able to explain that...

I was very comfortable with both Dr. Rabkin, and his entire staff..

I was very hesitant of even having the surgery, but Dr. Rabkin put me at ease very quickly as he accepted me as who I was, not anything else.

When I first met Dr. Rabkin they were in the process of moving and he was wearing blue jeans and carring a computer. I thought it was him but wasnt sure until he introduced himself. The office wasnt open so I had to call back in 2 days to schedule an appointment. I had 2 visits. 1 with Delphine and the second was with him. His staff wasnt exactly the nicest on my first visit but on my second visit they were very pleasant. Delphine was charming as well as Dr. Rabkin on my very first visit with them. My appointments with them were not rushed at all and I was actually given time to think if I had any questions. They were very thorough and seemed to geniunely care. Other than my initial impression the only thing that frustrated me is time. I must have waited 1hr 45 minutes to be seen, and I arrived 15 minutes early like suggested. That wasnt too cool but once in the office with Dr. Rabkin I understand why it could take so long. He and Delphine are both so charming I forgot I was a bit upset about the wait.

i found dr rapkin to be very sweet and very concerned. its still the same. oh my god delphine is one of the best office staff i have ever come across in my life and wish there were more like her. nothing yet. dr rapkin is straight forward and i feel that you too should feel 100% safe with him. he does emphasize for your own support. yes. straight to the point what the risk are and what to expect it can go either way, and my point on that is im taking a risk at 625lbs so why not try the healthy way. EXCELLENT. both are great.

I have had my first meeting with Dr. Rabkin and liked him very much, had an easy to get to know persona and answered any and all questions. The office staff is very helpful, seem very knowledgable, and so nice. The do have a structured aftercare and want you to be a part of it. They described all risks and benefits of the surgery. I have also researched and found the Dr. to have a very good surgical competence reputation.

Dr. Rabkin and his clinical coordinator, Delphine, were very kind and thorough in explaining the procedure, and in answering all questions put to them. Dr. Rabkin consulted with us for nearly an hour, until my husband and I ran out of questions! It was reassuring to get that type of unhurried treatment.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. RABKIN WAS THAT HE WAS A THOUHGTFUL MAN AN A KIND MAN AND THAT HAS NOT CHANGED. I HAVE HAD ONLY GOOD EXPERIENCES WITH HIS STAFF. THEIR REALLY ISN'T ANYTHING I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT HIM. HE DOES EMPHASIZE AFTERCARE AND CHARGES FOR IT. I AM HAVING SURGERY ON JAN. 29TH, 2001 SO I WILL HAVE MORE TO SAY AFTER THAT.
