Mark Vierra Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

My 1st impression was that he was very serious and professional. As I got to know him better, I came to realize that he is also very caring and sensitive to my needs both physical and emotional. His office staff is very friendly and professional. I can't think of a thing that I don't like about him. That he expects you to follow his orders/advise. He doesn't say alot about after care but he does have written materials that he gives you and expects you to follow. I guess it all depends on the patient's needs. I did so well and was so well informed that I guess he didn't really see a need to spend alot of time on after care information with me. He does have a structured aftercare program, but like I said, I didn't really have a need because I was already familiar with it before the surgery. I would rate him as EXCELLENT. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are GREAT. He even stopped in to check on me at 10:30 at night because he was worried about some back pain I was having.

Today i had my first vist with my doctor. My first impression of him was that he was pretty short. i felt a little uncomfortable becuse he was much smaller then me.which made me feel infuier to him. I soon felt very comfortable with him. he took around 45 minutes with me going over the surgery, my questions, and how he thought i would deal wiht it. He went over a lot of things, the foods i could eat, exercise, deaths, and much more. his staff was delitful. they where very prompt had every thing together(which is so nice not to have the run around). i have been told that he is the best in the west cost and knows what he is doing. I was told that he had surgerys backed up already tell dec. or feb. he is a good well recomened doctor. so that makes me feel very comfortable with him. i very much suggest that people in the area go to see him.
